Sorry if this sounds mumbled I can clarify anything.
I have an older MSI gaming 5 (from about 2015) so I don't have a RGB header. And I've just been trying to figure out how to power my RGB fans. I believe I have it figured out but I want to double check with you guys because I accidentally bought RGB fans not knowing I would need a controller to get the RGB part to work, XD. Since my motherboard only supports five fans and I want more. I'm looking for a controller that supports RGB and extra fans at the same time. I would also like one that can control the fans with software. And in order to do that I believe I need a controller that connects via internal USB. If there is a controller like that let me know. The software component would be nice but it's not requirement.
I think the Corsair Commander core XT can do it but if there are any cheaper ones let me know.
Side note: I'm also worried about airflow to the top GPU. Should I be? I'm considering adding another exhaust fan above the CPU.
Would any of these work?
