  1. Hi, I'm looking to add another 16GB of memory to my current PC. From what I understand, I can purchase what I currently have, put them in the 2 spare slots and that's about it? I'll also be adding a HDD as well, probably a 4TB one. Current setup: MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Edge AC Team T-Force Dark Z 16GB (2x 8GB) 3600Mhz DDR4 https://www.pccasegear.com/products/48310/team-t-force-dark-z-16gb-2x8gb-3600mhz-cl18-ddr4-grey https://www.pccasegear.com/products/44217/msi-mpg-z390-gaming-edge-ac-motherboard I currently have that setup and just looking at buying the exact same memory and adding it and a HDD along the way. Any help is appreciated if I'm wrong and it doesn't work this way. Nathan
  2. I'm moving home to a place that has FTTP with 3 cat6 ethernet ports throughout the house. One in the master bedroom, kitchen and living room. I want to make the most out of these ports and looking for the best way to connect it all. For the living room, I've been looking at using a switch to plug in the TV, Soundbar, DVR and all of the other devices on the TV cabinet. Same with the master bedroom. Whats the best way to go about this? We have an Asus GT-AX11000 and a 4 port Netgear Gigabit Switch at the moment. I need the router to be in the kitchen. We have a gigabit connection to the home and I have tested over WiFi with our router (Asus GT-AX11000) and an iPhone 12 Pro Max with stable 3ms ping 950Mbps download and 50Mbps upload (50 is the upload cap). At the furthest distance from where the router is, the speeds are still 300-400Mbps. What devices/hardware should I place where? I'm looking at new 8-10port Netgear (or any brand) switches for master bedroom and the living room but unsure on what to use in the garage (where the FTTP box is and the 3 wall ports). I also have an old PC that I am looking into turning into a NAS. Any input is welcome
  3. Hi, I'd like to play games on my laptop (MacBook) using my gaming pc. What would be the best way to go about this? I would prefer it to run over the local network to limit latency and quality issues. I've looked around and they all seem to be internet related not local network related. Basically mirror/stream my gaming PC onto my MacBook using the local network. Thanks
  4. I currently have an i7-4790k and am looking for a new CPU cooler. I would like to do some slight overclocking so keep that in mind. My choices are the CoolerMaster Hyper 212X or the DeepCool Lucifer Gamer Storm. From the research I have done, the Lucifer Gamer Storm seems to be the better option of the two. I am leaning towards the Lucifer Gamer Storm. Do you have any experience with this cooler? What overclock could I get on it without having too high temps? CM Hyper 212X: http://www.coolermaster.com/cooling/cpu-air-cooler/hyper-212x/ DP Gamer Storm: http://www.deepcool.com/product/gamerstorm/2013-12/6_111.shtml Which of the two would you go with?
  5. Hello, I have an old desktop that is very slow with anything. Im pretty sure its the hard drive as the CPU is not too bad and on Windows Experience Index the hard drive is the lowest. I have an external hard drive that i would like to use to see if the computer runs any better. I would like to install Windows 7 on my external hard drive but the computer came with no Windows disc (can you download and use live cd or anything?). I don't want to reset the computer to factory settings and would prefer to dual boot Windows 7 using my external hard drive. I have no idea on how to do this and tutorials would be helpful Thanks

  7. I would say a GTX 970 or 980/980ti but beware, the 970s have coil whine.
  8. If you are not after Windows extend your budget and get a Macbook Air/Pro. They're really good at multitasking and general usage. Battery life is all day.
  9. I can hear mine through headphones/speakers and when you take the side of my PC off its so irritating.
  10. Having a high end GPU and not a good CPU will make your game performance very laggy. Its good to have equal CPU and GPU so that you can get the best performance.
  11. I have the GTX 970. It has never crashed on me but has a severe case of coil whine
