  1. I bought the EVGA spernova 750W PSU. It came with a wall socket cord that is not compatible ( live in Australia ) with where i live. I think it is US standard or something. Regardless though, i found an Australian fitting cable in my house that i had spare. It fits in the back of the PSU and connects to my wall, but i'm a little concered. On the cord my PSU came with it says "10A 125V" and on my spare cord it says "10A 250V". A jump in 125V. Will this hurt my system?
  2. So i live in Australia and i just bought a subscription to VPN Express in hopes of connecting to American Netflix servers. Using my Andriod MINIX box with the andriod paltform, My VPN is switch on (connected to San Fransisco) and it still is not displaying series and movies from the States (walking dead is on US servers cause looked it up; if 'm wrong, tell me). How do i fix this problem? I'm sorry i'm still new to this forum and am not very tech savvy myself so any clues and help would be of great help. Tell me if i'm too broad and not specific enough. Is there something else i might need to do? Thanks.
  3. So i recently disassembled a computer from a friend and used the HDD (which had windows on it) to put into a computer for another friend. But since his new computer has an SSD inside it i want to uninstall and reinstall windows (8.1) from the HDD to the SSD. Will i need to reenter the product key for windows when i do a factory reset for the system? After i install it on the SSD (if i can) i will then upgrade to windows 10. Some knowledge and advice on this matter will be great, thanks.
  4. Ah playback software got it.

    Question

don't know if this is the best place to ask this but whatever. if i buy a Blu-ray/DVD writer will it read and play on the disc? because it does not say that i reads on the product description so will it read a movie for example so it can be a reader and a writer at the same time? Example:http://au.pcpartpicker.com/product/6d3RsY/asus-optical-drive-bc12d2ht SO yeah dumb question but whatever.
  6. Really how so? i don't think that to be the case. as Enderman said "they are both 1060s"
  7. Just a quick simple question: Which in your opinions should i get? http://www.newegg.com/global/au/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814126122&cm_re=1060_asus_dual-_-14-126-122-_-Product http://cplonline.com.au/evga-geforce-gtx-1060-sc-gaming-06g-p4-6163-kr.html how much difference is there between the two besides aesthetics? Which has better performance? i can't seem to find much online about the ASUS dual 1060.
  8. It does not. I tried rebooting and clicking continue. I also unplugged the pc from the psu. And still same problem. I unplugged the gpu and put it back to see if that wss the problem. So know.
  9. I started up my computer and it first diagnoses the pc then it goes to "choose an option" either "continue", "use another opertaing system", "troubleshoot" and "turn off your pc". I select troubleshoot> advanced options and not sure what i should select to fix my computer (i don't know the problem). I tried startup repair, it failed. I don't have a restore point on my pc and i don't know any commands in comd prompt. I don't know what to do i'm a complete noob at troubleshooting please help.
  10. Yeah but mine just stopped searching for updates and came up with the error i explained.
  11. yeah i think i might have just fixed it with that link you sent me. Turns out i needed to change my date and time because it was set in like 2009 -_____________-
  12. So i just finished building my first PC and i got windows 7 ultimate 64bit (planning to update to win 10) i installed the OS onto my SSD successfully, and i was able to install a driver that allowed my to use Ethernet. After that i tried to install all the latest updates for windows 7 ult... Accept i can't. When i go into "windows update" i click "check for updates" it comes up with "windows cannot search for new updates", windows update encountered an unknown error" code: 80072F8F. so now i'm stuck for this reason. and i can't use the default web browser it comes with because when i try to go on any website. it takes like no joke 30 mins to load some web pages and when it does it can't load it all because of some "Certificate error". so what do i do? i know its not my internet that is slow because on all my other devices that are connected it works fine. Also in device manager/other devices is the only drivers that say they need updates which was the one i was able to with the ethernet driver but the others i can't because it fails to connect to the internet to download them and it can't find m drivers on the usb that i downloaded from my laptop earlier. so yeah i'm stuck and i don't know what to do from here. I bet it is something really stupid or obvious. sorry this is probably unnecessarily long but thanks for reading. Now any suggestions?
  13. yeah i need to know cause i saw a really good deal for them ($300) i live in Australia so the exchange rate and everything would make it a lot different then where your probably from but anyway its going to run games like EA startwars battlefront and more casual games like TF 2 and CS GO. but yeah EA starwars battlefront is the most demanding thing it will be running for the time being. still worth getting? can i still get good performance out of them in crossfire? I also have a friend that has a GTX 780ti and he said he would give it to me for $400. I can't decide! oh btw they are made by saphire and they are the 2gb versions (both overclocked don't know how much though just says overclocked)
