  1. i was pissed too when i saw it. but then digging in settings i noticed it was called notifications and you can disable it.
  2. Im researching it. I believe its the south bridge. Its in pieces and looks burnt.
  3. So one day the laptop stopped turning on. I couldn't figure it out. I tore it apart and found some pieces. I attached a picture. What chip is this? What happened? Can this be repaired?
  4. WDS is great for PXE'ing WinPE. MDT is where its at for the whole deployment. Its an absolute pain to configure but its amazing when it just works.
  5. there are a few ways, cloning the drive would require sys prepping windows before you clone it to other computers to regen that guid. even if they say it doesnt work, you can always test it. there are a ton of videos and documents about cloning windows for deployments.
  6. i just want to give some updates. so my laptop actually is running gta V really nicely. i guess the poor performance of the vive just upset me more then it should have. I downloaded and ran gta v once on the computer and then deleted it and mounted my network drive and linked the steam game library up to that and ran gta v again. it took longer to load, it even gave me an error the first time i tired to go online, probably because it ran into an issue of porting my previous online session onto this computer. but the second time i ran it, it worked. i'm now transferring the files to my internet accessible drive and i will switch the steam library to that and see if it runs now, then tomorrow i will test to see if i can run it from outside my home internet.
  7. your gonna hate me. i got this to run my vive since this claims to be "VR Ready". it would have been so much better then chugging my desktop from my bedroom to my living room. i watched some videos online and they say it works but oh my god did i have the worst experience ever.
  8. i got the new Razer Blade, the gtx 1060 model. It claims its good for gaming, i've had it for 4 or 5 days and it doesn't perform that well with games.
  9. i didn't actually expect to get any attention from this. opening my laptop to add a storage drive, i think only m.2 will fit, if that, will void my warranty. I might actually test this tomorrow to see how it works. let me know if you're interested in me responding with any results.
  10. This seems like the most inefficient way to play a game but i just got a new laptop to use while im out of my house. The laptop doesnt have a lot of hard drive space. I did try sharing my drive from my desktop and mount it as a network drive, then i added that drive as a game library in steam. all the games showed up but i needed to manually install all the pre run files that usually get installed when you download the game and run it the first time locally. From what i gathered... it kinda worked but the game hung and took long to start if it even could start. I was just wondering since i already have a method of mounting the drive over the network if it is practical to even try.
