  1. Nope, no auditory clues from any component so far.
  2. Recently upgraded to an AM4 rig. Got everything set up and managed to get the computer to power on. Once on there's no display, not even a prompt to enter the BIOS. My CPU fans rev up to high speeds before quickly slowing to a halt. Solutions attempted: -Reseating RAM: No change -Using different GPU: No change -Booting with no RAM: Fans started acting normally, PC resets every 10 seconds Anyone got any ideas? Specs: -ASrock AB350 -Ryzen 7 1800X -2x16GB DDR4 RAM -RX Vega 64 -EVGA 1300W PSU
  3. Yeah, looked fine when I reassembled the GPU. Might as well give it another go though.
  4. GPU: ASUS Strix R9 Fury PSU: EVGA G2 1200w OS: Windows 10 Troubleshooting attempts: -Fresh driver install -GPU placed in new machine -New coat of generic thermal paste applied Card is basically unusable unless you put the fans at 100% and even then it can't handle most modern games. Anyone got any ideas?
  5. Nope, just ~65% audio on a few games. I'll order a usb 3.5mm jack and see if that resolves the issue.
  6. Just tried my sennheiser headset to no effect.
  7. Nothing out of the ordinary, just routine use.
  8. Recently my Eurocom M4 stopped outputting audio from my generic $3 earphones. I tried using my earphones on different devices and found that they still worked perfectly. I made sure that my earphones were selected as my audio output device and gave it another go but, that didn't help. I updated my audio drivers from Eurocom's website and rebooted my laptop, but it had no effect. Anyone have any ideas?
  9. It does, I'll get an ISO and see if a fresh install helps.
  10. The biggest resource hog right now is cmd at 0.1mb/s. This is maxing out the disk to 100% capacity. Start up is time is more or less normal after disabling discord and cursevoice from start up, but the applications themselves take several minutes to boot.
  11. Specs: HD 7970 1TB Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 16GB DDR3 RAM FX-6350 Gigabyte 970a-ds3p Windows 10 64-bit A friend of mine dropped off his pc and claimed it took forever to boot. I took a look at it and noticed that the boot time was quite long (~7 minutes) and applications were taking equally long to open (~3 minutes before being able to use any app). Using the search bar on the windows taskbar has also become damn near impossible due to the ridiculous time it takes to input any characters. Here's what I've attempted: - Ran Zemana and Malwarebytes, no anomalies were found. - Went in cmd and ran the ol' net.exe stop "Windows search", net.exe stop superfetch, chkdsk.exe /f /r combo So far I've been able to reduce his boot time to 40-50 seconds, but opening and running applications is still a 3-5 minute affair. The search bar is still unusable due to the massive delay between entering a character and having it register. Anyone have any ideas?
  12. I have this exact model: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=0JC-0007-00009 The problem started about a week ago and always went away after a reboot. Now I just need to reboot and wait ~10 minutes for the flickering to die down. Tested with another machine and the problem persisted. Don't know if this is an OS issue (Win 10) or if I need to get this monitor serviced. Would really appreciate any insight as to what the issue might be. Here is a video of the flickering in action:
  13. I gave the power cable a test run, the PC booted up, shut down, then booted up again after a few seconds and stayed on.
  14. Now that I got it to boot by jumping the pins, do I have to do that step all the time? Or am I good to go with the PWR switch from now on?
  15. Good call, we got a successful boot.
