  1. Check! How about the GPU? Am I just a baboon thinking that 15% increase is not much or is the site just not accurate?
  2. Big Thanks for the replies! My current PSU wil do me no good in a/the new build? Also; If I check my current GPU comparing it with RX580 via Google, it show's only 15 to 18% performance increase, is that even worth getting a new GPU for? I know GPU is important and that I want games to be a little more crisp, just wondering if few hundred bucks is worth the 15% upgrade.
  3. Hi All!I've been thinking about building myself a new PC for some time now, but haven't been in the scene for a few years so I thought to hit the forums.1. Budget & Location The Netherlands. My budget is around 1000,- Euro's (~1135,- USD), able to add few hundreds if justified. This budget is pure for PC building, no peripherals needed. 2. Aim I'd like my new setup to run a M.2 NVME drive (250 or 500gb) in a mid-tower case. I do not really have a preferred brand (as to AMD/Intel or Ati/Nvidia), just best price to performance ratio (Altho my monitor is a MSI Optix MAG27c, if that's important in any way). I do not care for RGB Lighting, but would like a matching ecstatic in my build (for instance; all red and black). The use for this setup is primarily gaming, al tho I do not play a lot of heavy games. Heaviest I played is probably GTAV which ran fine on my old setup, but did definitely show that my system is somewhat outdated. My old setup is (in case you guys think i should carry something into my new build in stead of buying something new);CoolerMaster Silencio550 containing;Motherboard ASUS P8H67 Rev3PSU Zalman 80+ 600wCPU Intel q-CoreI5-2400 3.10GHzGPU MSI Nvidia Geforce GTX 760Memory 2x Kingston 4gb(total 8gb), DDR3Storage 1x WD 500gb HDD Sata(which I will use in my new setup for larger files), 1x Samsung 120gb SSD Sata and 1x Corsair 120gb SSD Sata (could use these two as well in my new rigg, but as a reminder I'd like a M.2 NVME SSD).Thank you all in advance! Complete lists are favored over individual products. If you'd like to suggest/debunk/replace something on someone else's list, please explain why ~Bogus
  4. i got the same problem, so does my brother (both bought the same monitor. he had an extra DP calbe but i dont. His other cable seems to work. But the cable that conmes with doesnt. how weird is that? Any1 know a solution yet?
  5. As I thought, the local IT store didn't know what the beep is going on. Anyone know whot to do? It must be either the mobo or the CPU thats broken, but I cannot test which cuz I got no other compatible mobo/cpu.
  6. Well, it seems to get power and function, yet I cannot tell cuz I get no video signal. Soz if I mis-used the word "boot", English is not my main language and I thought thats what it was called . I got no speakers with my test bench, so I can't tell if windows starts It powers, fans spin (incl that of the GPU), LED's on the mobo light up and I can hear the HDD startup and run when I connect it. He has no manual with it anymore and I can't find a descent one on the web anywhere. *Edit; I found a manual that resembles the mobo as close as I could find, yet nothing about post beep codes: http://217.110.237.70/Manuals/7646-englv1.0-MedionP6300.pdf Alright, thats makes sense I guess. I personally thought there was something wrong with this connector's socket. By now i've tried every single memory slot on it's own with my own riggs modules and his modules, one by one and two by two, nothing works. Thanks for your responses so far! *Edit OP
  7. Techies, Today I got a call from a friend of mine who wanted to upgrade his rigg with a new GPU. His new GPU needed a 6pin power connection and thus a new PSU since the current one did not have one. He and a friend of his replaced the PSU and the GPU and ran into a problem being POST beeping and no video signal. I got there and after a few minutes I decided to take it home together with the previous installed components. After a whole lot of testing I got to this conclusion but have no idea what the solution is, even returning the system to it's former, working glory, setup doesn't seem to work: As soon as I plugg the ATX 12V connecter (of either PSU) into the mobo, it powers with 3 beeps(2 long 1 shorter it appears). When the ATX 12V is not connected, the system seems to power without beeping and i can hear the HDD start up when I connect it. Either way, I get no video signal. I've tried all the steps provided by the pinned post in the troubleshooting threat (so no need to tell me to clear the cmos for instance). I also tested several other GPU's and monitors and also tried all GPU's in my own and my bothers rigg without any problems. I did however not try the PSUs in those other riggs cause I was afraid that would screw up those riggs. The rigg before: MSI MS-7646 VER1.0 Mobo (OEM with a Medion PC) ATI Radeon HD5670 GPU AMD Athlon 2 x4 620 FSP group 350w PSU 2x2Gig DDR3 memory The rigg after: MSI MS-7646 VER1.0 Mobo (OEM with a Medion PC) Nvidia Gforce GTX 660 GPU AMD Athlon 2 x4 620 Coolermaser RS-460-PSAP-J3 460w PSU 2x2Gig DDR3 memory I will visit the local IT store tomorrow, altho they're not known for their awesome service. So i kinda hope I wake up to some solid solutions tomorrow! For those who take the time to read and/or try to help me out; Big Thanks in advance! I apologise for any knowledge I might be missing to make this a solid report and make you ask me for more information. - Bogus *Edit; Misused the word "boot", now replaced with "powers". **Edit; The system has no onboard GPU, which sucks for testing. Nor does it have additional PCE-I slots. ***Edit; Listed the wrong Mobo model, corrected.
  8. Alright! Big thanks Sheldon! Any other intakes before I mark this "solved"?
  9. Thanks for your quick response! Yea ofc it's up to me weather it's worth the money. But I kinda mean if it's worth the trouble of replacing the 560TI with a Xfire setup. You are actually saying that Xfire in general is only worth with the highend cards due to gamecompatibillity. For me personally just one 290 (x) would be a massive upgrade wouldn't it? And if I'd Xfire two 290's, wouldnt they be bottlenecket? Does the x4 PCIe bus mean that the second GPU would under-preform in any other way then it's latency?
  10. Hi all! TL;DR: Is it worth putting Crossfire/SLI in my current rigg? Currently I own a Asus P8H67 Motherboard which has a Intel I5 2400 3.1ghz CPU and a Club3D GTX Geforce 560 TI GPU. Now since the motherboard has 2 GPU slots I was wandering if it was worth to run Crossfire/SLI? After some browsing on the interwebs I found several people who mentioned that Nvidia's SLI is not supported for the board but the box says that AMD's Crossfire is. Is it true that this board does not support Nvidia's SLI? If the above is true, that would mean I cannot simply buy a second 560TI GPU and run that SLI (not even sure if this GPU can do that). in which case; Which AMD GPU would be best for me to buy times 2 and run crossfire, without them being bottlenecket by the CPU? Overall question; Is it even worth for me to replace my current GPU (Club3D GTX Geforce 560 TI) with a Crossfire AMD setup? *Please refrain from using experianced technical terms in your response. My knowledge is not very peaked, but I'm able to look things up on the internet. Thanks in Advance!
