  1. I did buy it online, however, i contacted the company i brought it from & they've told me to contact HP, so i am going to call them in the morning, but, im genuinely curious to know what the issue could be? Does it sound like a software issue or a hardware issue?
  2. Right, about 10 days ago i received my brand new laptop, i was very happy with it, however, a few days ago, it completely locked up & i had to hold the power button to force it off, and when i rebooted it, it started scanning the drive for errors, which was fine, i just put it down to a computer glitch, however, yesterday it happened again, twice.. Now, its a brand new £800 laptop, this shouldn't be happening? Can any of you give me any kind of insight of what the issue could be? It just completely locks up & i cannot do anything, ctrl-alt-del doesn't even respond, its like its switched off with the screen on? Thanks? Specs: Model: HP Envy x360 15-aq001na Processor: Intel core i5 6200U RAM: 8GB DDR4 Drives: 128GB M.2 SSD & 1TB 7200RPM drive
  3. Thank you! That helped, as soon as I realised that that program existed, it became so much simpler; I feel stupid now haha! Cheers!
  4. Well.. This is embarrassing; I attempted to dual boot windows 7 alongside my windows 10 insider preview install.. it worked, but then it stopped working for no apparent reason, anyhow, i went ahead and just formatted the drive i installed windows 7 on because I couldn't boot into it anymore as i didn't get the option to, but after formatting the drive; i get the option to load windows 7 or 10.. Obviously, the windows 7 option is redundant now, because the drive was formatted; but im still getting the option to load 7 every time i boot? This wouldn't be an issue if i had windows 10 at the top and it just booted into it automatically, but windows 7 is at the top; and to make it worse, my usual keyboard requires drivers to work, so to press down and enter to load windows 10 on every boot, i need a cheap keyboard plugged in, and, I know 2 screens looks great on a desktop, but; 2 keyboards doesn't have the same effect  I just want my computer to boot like normal again Any help would be appreciated. Cheers! Also; the people on the Google said i need a disk, which i dont have.. Specs: AMD A6-3670 APU w/ Radeon HD Graphics 8GB RAM 120GB SSD - Kingston SSDNow V300 (Windows 10 Insider preview install) 2TB HDD - WD Green (3.5") (Storage Drive) 160GB HDD - WD Blue (2.5") (Had Windows 7) 2 Benq W2245 1080p monitors Mobo: MSI A55M-P33 (MS-7786 ver: 1.0)
  5. Well... I managed to install 7 onto the 160GB; it worked, but i kept getting check disks every time i booted to 7, so i booted to 10, got the same thing, let it check them; and bam, no more windows 7 boot option.. Windows 10 doesn't like its little brother apparently.. So.. Looks like I'm stuck with 10!
  6. I will try this, and ill be back! haha, cheers
  7. I have literally no idea? How would i find this out? Thanks!
  8. Right, I need helpz; I have Windows 10 insider preview installed on my PC, however, I wanted to install windows 7 alongside it; so I installed an extra HDD in my computer to install it on; So now, I have a 120GB SSD with Windows 10 installed, as my primary OS A 2TB HDD for media/document storage And a recently installed 160GB HDD for Windows 7; Now is where my problem starts; When I try to install Windows 7 onto my 160 GB HDD, I get the following message; *Check Attached Image* All i want to do is simply dual boot Windows 7 alongside Windows 10; any help would be appreciated! I have checked Google, but I couldn't find anything to help; It said something about BIOS settings, so I had a look, but I couldn't find anything that would help? The 160GB HDD is in SATA port 4 if that makes any difference whatsoever..? I don't imagine it would? Thanks!! EDIT: Specs: AMD A6-3670 APU w/ Radeon HD Graphics 8GB RAM 120GB SSD - Kingston SSDNow V300 2TB HDD - WD Green (3.5") 160GB HDD - WD Blue (2.5") 2 Benq W2245 1080p monitors Mobo: MSI A55M-P33 (MS-7786 ver: 1.0)
  9. Thanks! I think ill probably just stick with 10 for now, We'll see, but thanks for the information, very helpful:)
  10. Right, I currently am running windows 10 pro insider preview on my computer, its great and all, but I miss Windows 7's simplicity and control. How would i go about installing windows 7 along side my windows 10 install? I can only find instructions on how to dual boot 10 with 7 if 7 is the previously installed OS? I'm running my OS on a 120GB SSD, and storing all of my data on a 2TB HDD if that makes any difference? Thank you!
  11. yeah ill give it go, but i need a new pc anyway, this one is getting old, its okay, but i need something better! thanks for the advice!
  12. I dont feel like investing £100+ in this pc, its not worth it, i may aswell buy a new one, im sure an upgrade wouldnt hurt!
  13. both are up to date, and i just tried a 1440p video in firefox and it seemed okay, a bit slow, but okay; better than chrome anyway, which is strange, no idea.. I think im just going to buy a new pc haha
  14. I have AMD vision drivers installed, so i dont think thats the issue, and i doubt i have a virus, as my SSD never has any files downloaded onto it, everything goes onto my HDD, which is not even active 90% of the time.. and i have antivirus installed.. and i use chrome, occasionally firefox
  15. It can handle 720@60 and 1080 fine if im not doing anything else, but as soon as i start to do something else in a different window, it will lag horribly, and 1080@60 is laggy as hell, but yeah, the virus situation is fine, i have AVG free antivirus, and i reinstall my OS every 12 months just to keep everything clean, i think its because the onboard graphics uses the processor's power, so it stops it being able to work on other tasks.. I think i should just probably buy a new pc.. idk
