But the main monitor tells me recommended settings is 720p doesn't mean anything ? ?

Actually no it was a dirty old pc the seller try monitors on it only But what makes me confuse that the monitor it self told me to set to 1680 as recommend setting

Hey guys, I am going to buy a Viewsonic vx2233wm monitor. The monitor allows up to 1920x1080 resolution , but when i tried to test the monitor it gives me trouble going above 1680x1050 which is shown as the highest option available. Any advice? shall i buy it ?
