  1. Unfortunately I already bought the RAM two years ago and I want my next upgrade to be DDR4 (which I don't have the motherboard for) so I'll probably stick with the Hyper 212 Evo for another year or two. Thanks for the replies.
  2. Will it fit? This is the RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145345
  3. That's the one I have. Maybe it's just how the PSU is like WereCat said? Although I checked some customer reviews and I didn't see people complaining about coil whine.
  4. So I bought this PSU last week and it was making buzzing/whining noises that were quite distracting in a silent room. I took it back to the store and they swapped it over after testing it and they agreed about the buzzing/whining noises. I installed the replacement PSU and it's the exact same thing. Am I just unlucky to get a faulty psu twice or is it supposed to be like this? Returning it to the store of purchase was a 2 hour trip so I'm really pissed about the replacement having the same problem.
  5. Thanks for the replies. What's actually the problem with using multiple connectors? Why even put it there if it's bad.
  6. Installed my new M12II EVO power supply today and it had a note saying not to use multiple connectors on a single PCI-E cable for high consumption graphics cards, and instead to use two PCI-E cables. I have an overclocked MSI GTX 970 Gaming and I used 8+6 connectors from a single cable, is this bad?
  7. I need to use my PC when I'm awake so I can only stress test for 8-10 hours while sleeping. Is it good enough though?
  8. It's a hyper 212 evo heatsink with arctic silver 5 thermal paste. I'm moving my parts to a new case so there's a good opportunity to re-apply, but only if necessary as I can just move it without taking the heatsink off. Thanks.
  9. Do you think the difference is worth $30? Seasonic M12II EVO 620W is $129 Seasonic G-650 650W is $159 I felt 750W was unnecessary so these ones are one step down.
  10. The heatsink is facing the rear of the case so I guess I'll be getting 3 noctua fans (1 rear exhaust, 2 front intake). Thanks!
  11. I'm upgrading to a Fractal Design Define S case and will be swapping the stock fans with some Noctua's. The problem is that Noctua's are expensive so I want the case to have as little fans as possible while doing the job. If it matters my build is a GTX 970, i5-4670k with a mild 4.1ghz overclock, hyper 212 evo. Some ideas: Front intake, rear exhaust Front intake, rear exhaust, top exhaust Front intake, bottom intake, rear exhaust Etc. Would love to hear your advice, thanks.
  12. Just realized G750 is semi modular while M12II EVO is fully modular. If the difference isn't that big I guess I'll go with the M12II EVO.
  13. Seasonic G-750 80Plus Gold 750W or Seasonic M12II 750W EVO Edition Bronze Power Supply Both are the same price ($169 AUD). Second question: Is it worth spending another $20 for the 850W for future proofing? I have a GTX 970 and only intend to get GPU's in that price range in the future. Thanks.
  14. Hey guys. So I decided to upgrade to the 970 for 1080p/60fps gaming and was told to wait for the upcoming AMD cards. What are your thoughts on this? Best to just buy it now (with Batman: Arkham Knight included) or wait for the AMD cards? Thanks.
