  1. I am sending the data through an ethernet cable, but the length makes the electrical resistance high - therefore not enough power for the capture card to function properly. So I was thinking if power goes from a phone charger for example, the data pins from the USB wouldn't be a problem over long lengths. I wish I could do that, but my only solution would be over a LAN cable :\ (they are already put in-walls, and using an HDMI cable all the way downstairs would be impractical) It is a single Ethernet cable connecting the two ends. I am not the best at drawing diagrams xD, so I'll try to explain it more briefly again: Main PC -> HDMI cable into Capture Card (this card has to connect to Streaming PC with USB) *the idea is, that through a USB to LAN, and LAN to USB extender, I would transfer the signal over a distance, but because of electrical resistance, I figured that's impossible. Therefore: Capture Card USB -> 4 pins (2 data pins, 1 power and 1 ground pin); Use a phone charger's USB to extract the 2 power pins from it, and attach them to the Capture Card USB, while letting the 2 data pins continue into the USB to LAN extender/adapter, to the Streaming PC downstairs. That way, in theory, should work. But what is the best way to execute all this, is a problem I am facing :\ Thank You all for the help! It is highly appreciated!! I am looking forward to Your reply! -Marko.
  2. Hello to everyone on the forums! Hopefully I did not title this topic wrong, or chose the wrong forum. If not, let me begin with what I am trying to accomplish. Basically, I have been building a secondary PC for streaming purposes, and I am finally done. However, the PC is meant to stay downstairs, together with my LAN modem and switch. I had an idea, where with a capture card from my main (gaming) PC, I would transfer the signal, so that the USB cable from the capture card, goes into a LAN extender cable (which I cheaply got off ebay), and then through my network continues down to the streaming PC. When I finally had the chance to test it all out, the capture card wouldn't function properly. LEDs were dimming with darker brightness, and Windows did not recognize the device. It turned out that the voltage going through the long LAN cable is not enough for the capture card to work (about 10-15 meters to be exact in length). So I was thinking, and I believe that this is actually possible, to use a phone charger as a power supply to the capture card with the 2 USB pins that provide power, and let the other 2 USB pins (the data ones) deliver data to the streaming PC downstairs (since through the length voltage is being lost, data shouldn't be a problem). My question is, what is the best way to split this thing and make it work? The cables should look like this: One coming from the charger, and one coming from the LAN extender, and then both combining into one USB where I plug my capture card. The first cable will be power from the wall, while the second will just send the captured video game to the 2nd PC. Hopefully my idea can be accomplished, and is not that difficult to do. I am thankful in advance for any help provided! Thank you so much for reading this! Have a nice day everyone! -Marko.
  3. Thank You All for the great replies! One last question though: Does putting the HDD in the bottom slot make the hot air from the GPU fans go into the HDD - therefore heating it up or it isn't a problem? Thank You All very much again for the awesome help! :D
  4. Hello to all! I hope You are all having a great Day/Night! So, my cousin is picking up a new HDD tomorrow, and we will be mounting it tomorrow as well. I've attached a picture that shows what's his setup like now. There are a couple of HDD slots to choose from in order to mount the drive. My question is: What slot is the most appropriate one, so that air circulation is good, and the drives stay cold? There is a picture that shows the situation better. (although it's are not very high resolutionish) Thank You all in Advance for any help! It is really highly appreciated! -Mark. PS: He already has one hard drive (the one in the picture), he is adding a second one. What's the best place for the second one?
  5. Hello to everyone! I hope You are having a great day/night! So, regarding my problem, I have searched hours for now and I simply can't find a solution relevant to my situation, so any help will be Highly Appreciated! I recently got a switch, and used my old PC as a file/movie server. I also want to be able to turn it on from shut down remotely, via Magic Packet. The way I have everything set up right now goes like this: The Modem (which is also a router), and then the switch is connected to that modem (Also I forgot to mention, it's an unmanageable switch), and then my server connected to the switch. Since the switch is unmanageable, the IP addresses given to all the devices connected to the switch are basically controlled and given by The Modem/Router. Now, I also have a wireless router (with stronger signal) connected to that same switch, and the goal here is to send a magic packet from that second router to the server connected one level above. The Modem/Router is giving addresses 192.168.100.XXX to the devices connected to the switch, and so the file/movie server PC is 192.168.100.77 (Static IP). The second router connected to that same switch gives out IP addresses 192.168.2.XXX. However, the problem here seems that a Magic Packet cannot pass through that router to the switch, and hence the File/Movie server can't be turned on. This is not the case when I am connected to the Modem/Router, then the Wake-On-LAN works, but if it's possible, I would really like to be able to turn it on when I'm connected to the second Router (higher wireless signal). In addition, connecting the File/Movie server to the second router is also not an option for me due to transfer speed reasons. :\ Any help would be really much appreciated, because I have been stuck on this for a while now and I can't seem to figure it out. Looking forward to all of Your replies! Thank You in Advance! Have a nice Day/Night!
  6. Ok, hopefully I'll get this one! Thank You and Everyone for the Help! Highy appreciated! Goodbye to Everyone and Have a Nice Day/Night!
  7. Thank You All so Much! If You are not in a hurry, would You mind taking a look at this page and see if there is anything better from PSUs? http://setec.mk/Computers-IT/PC-and-PC-equipment/Power-Supply So basically, where it says Лагер under the product, if it is not a Tick, that means They don't have it. And also, the max price I can go is 6,199 Ден. Thank You so Much again, and if there is anything better (or the best in my case), please do recommend it, I would really appreciate it a lot!
  8. Hello to Everyone! First of all, I apologize if this is not the correct place to post this thread, but I would really appreciate any help from You! So, I have a list here of some PSUs here: Corsair Builder Series CX430 Corsair Builder Series CX500 Corsair Builder Series CX600 DeepCool DA500-M DeepCool DA650 DeepCool DA700 CoolerMaster B2-Series RS-600-ACABB1-EU (600W) Zalman ZM700-GB (700W) These are the ones that I'm really struggling to choose from. Maybe the 430 Watt is not sufficient enough, but my question is, which one of all these is the best PSU for the following build: CPU: Core i3-4160 MB: Gigabyte H97M-HD3 GPU: Sapphire ATI PCX R9 270 2GB RAM: 2x DIMM 4GB DDR3 1600Mhz Kingston CL11 I have been struggling for hours here deciding which PSU is the best in terms of quality, and I would really appreciate any help! Thank you All in advance!
  9. Ok, Thank You and Thanks to Everyone for Helping me out so quickly! Goodbye to All and Have a Nice Day/Night!
  10. Alright, Thank You All so Much! So, should we go for the R9 270X considering that overclocking q8300 won't cause bottleneck? (at least not a lot?)
  11. What about the speed? Is that a problem, or is it just the capacity?
  12. Thank You so Much for the information! Would you say that the RAM can cause problems or not much?
  13. Alright, Thank You so Much for the opinion!
  14. Thank You so Much! Will the RAM cause problems in lagging and such or not?
  15. Thank You so Much! I can hope for the best at getting it more than 3 Ghz, is the cooler enough?
