  1. well, it works perfectly fine on VGA, so I don´t really want to throw it away, I just want to try some more stuff out, I am going to upgrad to the new AMD Fiji soon anyway, but till then I want to get atleast HDMI working so I can use the Rift on my setup
  2. I have the exact same model and I can tell you that you can stick to it by overclocking, I have mine running at 4,1 Ghz and can play and even record 1080p 60fps Especially pleasing that this works for CPU demanding games like Battlefield 4 You mentioned Dying Light earlier, have you tried setting the view distance down? There are some issues with that which bring down you fps drastically
  3. I wonder why you consider 1080p 60fps + recording unplayable... I have a FX 6300 OC´d to 4,1 Ghz and can not only play but also record 1080p 60 fps on demanding online games like Battlefield 4 and while I might get even more performance out of some Intel components I do not think I can get a better Price/Performance Ratio then that
  4. I have a question regarding my GPU. I have an HD 7970 from XFX, problem on it was, after attaching a second monitor with DVI they both went black and since then never worked with Digital, no HDMI Signal, no DVI Signal, only way I get a signal is trough a VGA-DVI Adapter, although that way I can´t get the EDID Data from my monitor, I have to adjust the resolution and Hz myself. So I tried in safe mode, cmos reset, driver reinstallation, deactivated the onboard graphics, and more, it won´t work with any digital signal for some reason, I know it worked perfectly fine before on HDMI and DVI by a friend who preowned the card, and it was working in the beginning, so what else could I try? My old HD 7850 works on DVI/HDMI with my system. Also I tested on 4 different monitors. My System: FX 6300 OC´d to 4,1 Ghz Biostar A960G+ HD 7970 XFX 12 GB RAM Crucial 1600 Mhz 5 HDDs total of 7 TB PSU 630 W Thermaltake Thanks!
  5. Have you downloaded AMD Overdrive? You can overclock easily with it. But as always be careful and read some stuff about overclocking if you haven´t yet
