  1. hmmm. well, did you test the rig in another room with 15amp breakers? (kitchen?) 10x120V = 1200W so it shouldn't trip it at all. i would assume its a DOA if it fails the test i mentioned. .... idk, check the 120/240V switch? all i can figure
  2. pfffff 0db. Crank that bitch till it BLEEDS. nice score tho! how in the hell did you get that 980ti for 200?! ppl in edmonton are still wanting 400+ for theirs haha
  3. Just a little 2600x @4.2 Ghz coming through, pay no attention. Running single channel, i hate life sometimes. 4. ahhh. well that has been recommended. i was planning on getting one once the oil comes back to lloyd and workplaces are hiring again. was looking for a temp. fix till i can snag one. was looking at the asus sabertooth v2 or gigabyte 990fxa-ud3 , i also fried the previous board and chip and these are replacements.
  5. anyone having total crashes with this setup? ive been having a problem in which the computer pretty much just locks up and then doesn't respond, i have to restart the machine to get anything running, but after that it runs normally... till the next lockup. anyone with the same board and chip that has the same problem?
  6. try and reboot your modem. if all else fails, call your ISP or replace your wifi router.
  7. Ha! another plagued with this issue. not sure what causes it. ive had no luck solving it. might be faulty CPU, all tho im trying to get my computer to post as is.
  8. Yep. tried both sticks one at a time , same with both video cards. still nothing. oh. and i cant remove the Video card, no onboard video.
  9. So. i just got my motherboard back from an RMA. since i'm moving right now, i took apart my rig and boxed it so that if the mobo didn't arrive, i could reassemble at my new place. So it arrived yesterday, and i assembled it just as it was before..... no post. all the fans come on, and i've already tryed all the normal checklists for no post. ( reseat RAM, reseat power cables, reseat CPU, etc. ) still, nothing. dont know what to do, other then suspecting i got a DOA mobo, but the Audio tracing on the mobo lights up, so idk. I talked to the MSI guys and they suspected the CPU might be fried, so i sent a RMA request to AMD and waiting on them to send me my service request REF #. Anything that i missed? Also, i don't have a buzzer to diagnose error codes, so shit. i threw out a bunch from a couple of rigs i took apart a year ago , thinking i couldn't use them with my rig.
  10. alright well, update time. I had a HDD failure about 4 days ago (partition failure, i guess.) and 650GB of data was lost. I had a copy of Win 7 HP on hand and an old 500GB + like 8 80GB- 40GB assorted 7200RPM HDD's , so the rigs back running. Back ups are done weekly to one of the 80GB drives in the rig now. in total, there are now 3 HDD's in my rig, a 500GB for Steam/etc Games , a 80GB for Win 7/ "meh" programs (VLC base, drivers, etc) and the other for backups. im NOT going through that again, but the problem of random freeze ups keep happening. BTW, I get MSI BIOS codes 99, 9c, and one other. ill update it in 10 mins or so. Edit 1 - Turns out MSI post code 99 is normal i guess. it flickers between 99 and 9c when booting into BIOS, or doing the check. Edit 2 - 99, 9c, and A2 are all normal. NVM. back to main issue. Freezing OS randomly. wth?
