  1. Would this be able to run GameCube games reliably? Things like Dolphin emulator are reportedly a bit of a resource hog. I don't know if that issue extends to all GameCube emulation.
  2. I'm planning on building a portable emulation machine for older game consoles (GameCube, 16 / 8-bit consoles, possibly PS2) to bring around to LAN parties. It would only ever be running one monitor (a projector) at a time. I'd primarily be running Dolphin Emulator. However, I'm not sure what components would optimize the system for applications like Dolphin. Through looking for deals online I'm looking to bring the cost down to about $300 USD - ish. Cost doesn't really matter. I'm mostly looking for a middle-of-the-road spec for an emulation machine. The case would not necessarily factor into the price.
  3. Is there a mechanical keyboard with... 1. Brown or red key switches 2. RGB or pure white backlighting 3. Wrist wrest 4. USB pass-through ... Or am I sort of SOL on this one?
  4. I have a photographer friend looking for a $450-ish GPU to push a 4K resolution monitor for RAW image file editing in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. Any suggestions?
  5. My mom has this old HP PC currently. All she does is some basic browsing (saving and viewing of images, social media). Even after a good dusting of the internals, some software cleanup, and a few runs at the 'ol disk defrag, it's still running pretty slow for her. It's currently housing an Intel Core 2400S (quad core) processor clocked at 2.4 GHz and 6GB of dual-channel RAM. Rather than buying a whole new computer, I want to buy her a new RAM kit and processor. The processor socket needs to be LGA 1155, and the RAM needs to be a kit of dual-channel 8GB (2x4GB) DDR 3 RAM. What are your hardware suggestions for the kind of browsing she's doing?
  6. Is there a series of videos entirely dedicated to how to build a custom water cooling loop for people who are new to water cooling?
  7. It's not so much that I need 32GB of ram... it's that I WANT 32GB of RAM.
  8. Thank you! Just what I needed.
  9. Is there an option to have those as 8GB dims?
  10. DDR3! Sorry I didn't include that. I had one job.
  11. Could anyone recommend me a 32GB (4 x 8GB) kit of strictly DDR3 white RAM?
  12. So if anyone knows of a good 1080p monitor that's IPS, 24"-25", VESA mount compatible, and non-glossy... let me know.
  13. What's the best Christmas / Black Friday / Cyber Monday deal you've ever gotten?
  14. To answer your question, I totally freaking forgot that existed! Welp, that's my solution.
