  1. Should I also try uninstalling the SATA drivers and then reinstalling them to see if that helps?
  2. Yeah I have installed the OS on the SSD, I will have a look in a few mins.
  3. So you suggest push the HDD in more, Also just to be clear I have the SATA Data Cable plugged into the Sata port on the MOBO and the SATA power cable into an adapter then it goes into the PSU am I correct.
  4. Is there any chance I may have to initialize the HDD inside windows disk management?
  5. Hi guys, I have built my first computer and I bought a Western Digital Blue 1tb HDD and a Crucial MX100 SSD, when I go into the BIOS I can only see the SSD. Now that I have installed windows I am still only seeing the SSD. I am using the Corsair Air 540 Hotswap Bays. If anyone could help me solve this problem it would be great. Thanks
  6. Is there a good program that automatically updates drivers itself or lets you know when they need updated?
  7. Hi guys. I am wondering what the best way to maintain your computers performance is? such as what software is good.
  8. Ok thanks, Would there be anything you would change in the 5820k build or should everything be fine also I may end up changing the GPU to something like the 980ti or the r9 390x when they get released, also if there is a good deal on black friday.
  9. I will be playing games such as Battlefield hardline, Black ops III when it is released, dying light, GTA V, CSGO, NBA 2k15, Fifa 15 and football manager 2015.
  10. Hi guys. I have just gathered the rest of the money together for my first system and am torn between 2 different one's. I keep changing my mind every day or 2 because they are both roughly about the same price but the difference is they are on different platforms. The system is going to be used for a wide range of tasks such as gaming on 1080p, virtualization, web development, software development, some video rendering and every other day tasks such as browsing the web and word documents. None of the builds include an SSD as I have already purchased one. I also do not need a monitor or keyboard/mouse First build: PCPartPicker part list: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/X2fxdC Price breakdown by merchant: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/X2fxdC/by_merchant/ CPU: Intel Core i7-5820K 3.3GHz 6-Core Processor (£304.97 @ CCL Computers) CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 82.5 CFM CPU Cooler (£65.46 @ CCL Computers) Motherboard: MSI X99S SLI Krait ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard (£189.99 @ Amazon UK) Memory: Kingston FURY 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR4-2400 Memory (£145.49 @ Amazon UK) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£39.97 @ CCL Computers) Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 4GB WINDFORCE 3X Video Card (£263.96 @ Scan.co.uk) Case: Corsair 450D ATX Mid Tower Case (£94.99 @ More Computers) Power Supply: EVGA 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply (£89.99 @ Amazon UK) Total: £1194.82 Second Build: PCPartPicker part list: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/WWstyc Price breakdown by merchant: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/WWstyc/by_merchant/ CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor (£251.94 @ Scan.co.uk) CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 82.5 CFM CPU Cooler (£65.46 @ CCL Computers) Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-GAMING 7 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard (£124.76 @ Scan.co.uk) Memory: Kingston Fury Red Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory (£47.39 @ CCL Computers) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£39.97 @ CCL Computers) Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 4GB Superclocked ACX 2.0 Video Card (£450.94 @ Amazon UK) Case: Corsair Air 540 ATX Mid Tower Case (£114.95 @ Amazon UK) Power Supply: EVGA 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply (£89.99 @ Amazon UK) Total: £1185.40
  11. @lee32uk,@brob I have decided not to go with the x99 platform I am just going to go with the i7 4790k and have came up with this build here : PCPartPicker part list: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/YxsKQ7 Price breakdown by merchant: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/YxsKQ7/by_merchant/ CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor (£262.00 @ Amazon UK) CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 82.5 CFM CPU Cooler (£65.46 @ CCL Computers) Motherboard: MSI Z97S SLI Plus ATX LGA1150 Motherboard (£98.90 @ Amazon UK) Memory: Kingston Fury White Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory (£83.24 @ CCL Computers) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£39.97 @ CCL Computers) Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 970 4GB Twin Frozr V Video Card (£272.29 @ Amazon UK) Case: Corsair Air 540 ATX Mid Tower Case (£114.95 @ Amazon UK) Power Supply: EVGA 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply (£89.99 @ Amazon UK) Total: £1026.80 Would there be anything else I should change in the system?
  12. @lee32uk : Ok thanks I will go with the Phanteks cooler. @brob : Hi brob thanks for your reply, I am wanting to go with the air 540 ATX chassis now so if you could wouldn't mind could you put together a system in this case with the Phanteks PH-TC14PE_BK 78.1 CFM CPU Cooler. I might consider going with SLI but it wouldn't be with 970's.
  13. Thanks for you comments guys but I have since then changed my mind from the ASRock board to this one here > http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-motherboard-x99sslikrait
  14. @lee32uk I like the colour scheme you have chosen but I have only 2 questions and that is how good of a job does the Phanteks cooler do at cooling the CPU under load. The other question is what made you change the SSD from the Samsung one to the Crucial one?
  15. Hi there. I would like to get peoples opinion on if this x99 motherboard is good quality and reliable as I plan to put it in my build. Motherboard:http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/asrock-motherboard-x99extreme4
