  1. me too, aaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnd I can say only, thats amd for you lol. great card hot temps... and loud mine runs around 60 to 70 degrees celcius though
  2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NYHC3DXynM this video explains very well, how to keep dust from getting sucked in, but rather blown away from your pc and still keep you pc efficiently cooled.
  3. So my brother has been game developing for a while and wants to upgrade his pc to render better and stuff. I'm the only pc tech savvy whatever, and I'm pretty sure I know what to get for his new pc, but just in case there is anyone out there with indy game dev experience, I would like you to speak up on what you would recommend. He isn't making money off his games, yet. He is working on his first game to sell, (starting) and thats why he wants to be able to add awesome graphics and stuff. so here is the parts I have considered. http://pcpartpicker.com/user/MACGYVR/saved/98x7YJ the idea is to upgrade the gpu later to 2 nvidia cards, and the cpu... eeeehhh, i wanna get him the 4790k but money...money money money. aint got none lol. keep in mind also that He is not professional, he has never taken any college classes, he is still in highschool, I just want to insure he can render decent awesome graphics into his games. (also his claimes are to have BF4, FarCry 4/Primal graphic simular quality. ) I was thinking more along the lines of Rust or ArmA 3 which is still pretty good too. I thought about an actual rendering gpu but his budget didnt allow it, and I believe most of his rendering will be cpu so I am "more" cpu focus right now. but if he starts to make the moolah from his games then I would upgrade him to something like this: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/MACGYVR/saved/vRqG3C anyway, do you guys think the first list with modification will cut it for him to render decent graphics into his game? thanks -MACGYVR
  4. same, looks and semi cheap good luck on your endevours...
  5. uninstall then reinstall windows, then start over.
  6. the s340?! it has 4 fan mounting areas...2 in the front an one in the back and one on the top if you get a 980ti i dont think you will need or find a decent case with more fan options, the h440 might work, idk
  7. on the back of your power supply unit,(outside of your case) there is a switch beside the connector where you plug in your power cable to your psu. did you flip the switch in the off position? if so flip it in the on position then try turning on your pc again.
  8. http://pcpartpicker.com/user/MACGYVR/saved/ this would be alot better too for the price... especially for what you want to do with it, price does not include windows though...
  9. Your build is almost exactly like mine.. But i have the r9 390, I would say either upgrade to the r9 390 or if you have enough a gtx 980ti OOOORRRRR upgrade the size of your ssd... also get some noctua fans bro... I personally am waiting for the corsair spec alpha case, because honestly I find it amazballs check out the case because its sweeeet... i see no reason for a cpu upgrade hope i gave you some ideas
  10. Does anyone know where I can find a good digital sign. Like some schools have, or business' have in front of their office. I want to find a company that has been in business making these kinds of signs for a long time, just so I know I can get parts for it or something if I ever need to. If you wanna send me a link to a specific sign, I am looking for one that is about 5' x 8' ish give or take. thanks -MACGYVR
  11. If win an ssd I will put it in my dads new pc I am about to build him, he doesn't want me to "waste money" on an ssd, he believes its not worth it. I once was a fool, when i built my new rig about 6 months ago I got myself a decent ssd for booting, oh boy has my opinion ever changed... If you have the budget or are considering adding an ssdto your rig, JUST DO IT, (no pun intended) All the"They are so awesome even for the price"sayings you here are true you will not regret it. the other day i went in to my dads 3 year old pc to boot it up because it needed updates and it took forever! I've already been spoiled by it lol. granted hdd has its place among our pc, but ssd should easily be a must for pc now even if its only used as a boot drive. Like Linus says in his build vids, a boot ssd is pretty much a "why not"these days, and in the future a no brainier... is that even a word?!
  12. i got a 620 i have a 4690k and an r9 390, it handles it perfectly well, im getting a 750 because i can but a 620 to 650 will be all you would ever need ever. also ya the r9 390 does draw a good amount of power so do get a bigger psu. https://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-power-supply-rm650 i would get this one if i was you... dont skimp out on a psu and get a cheap one the psu is the most important that you get a good quality one
  13. also it could be for sponsorship, like the company that built linus' rack mounted case, if they helped with this contest it would bring alot of attention to there company.
  14. i ddnt say bring it to market just the winner gets an actuall matel/plastic case of there cardboard concept made for just them.
  15. i designed a m atx one where the mobo is horizontal in the case, i built it out of cardboard very low detail and stuff, but it was pretty cool i might post pics, idk
