  1. In that case I highly recommend it so far. I just put about 300 gb of videos and pictures onto it and read/write times seem to be great, especially for the price.
  2. Thanks man! Appreciate the advice - I wish I could just auto-follow my threads automatically instead of any I comment on, I always forget to click follow! I actually installed the blue drive the other night because I lacked a final SATA connector for my mobo. No real complaints at all! It's surprisingly fast for an HDD, but I would always still suggest an SSD for fast loading times. I really love the HDD so far.
  3. I made an account a few weeks ago and began posting here and a few other forums to get advice on a gaming rig. I knew nothing about computer components, and I learned so much in short time with kind folks help. I want to sincerely thank this community right here for helping me put all this together. When I finally got all my parts, I was so excited that I didn't take as many pictures as I wanted so I apologize for that: https://imgur.com/a/u3ITX. What is that strip/cord for in the imgur album? I assume some sort of SATA adapter? 2. I'm guessing that plate in the imgur album is just for decoration. Any good ideas what I could use it on? 3. How does my airflow look? Does that CPU fan placement look alright? 4. How is my cable management? Notice my SATA power cords were split three ways - is it fine I used one cord for both my SDD and fan utility on the back of my mobo? 5. Final thoughts? Thanks again to this wonderful community, I'm loving my first rig! You guys are awesome.
  4. Good suggestion, can I ask why I don't need the extra wattage? If I overclock and maybe utilize a second GPU in the future, wouldn't the extra 100W be worth it? Again, just asking because I'm curious, I am not an expert. Also, that guy is a moron.
  5. I was wondering the same thing...
  6. I might actually be looking to utilize two GPUs down the line. Why is this SSD a bad choice for that? Thanks m8
  7. So, after getting some great advice from this awesome community I am about to wrap up and buy my parts for gaming and perhaps overclocking build. But first, I would LOVE any and all final tips or suggestions! Especially if you know of great/better monitors. 8. I think this thread may be dead but this is my final build. Gonna postpone buying the build till tomorrow to get a little more advice though. Will re-post this build if thread is dead. 9. Well, I won't just be gaming but that's the main point of the build. Could I ask why you say that about the GPU? What sort of other things make a GPU a "gaming" GPU or not? Do some GPUs run certain media better or something? Thanks m8!
  10. I think I'll get rid of the fans and buy them later if needed. 11. Well, I can always put more storage in later when I get more money. I might look around at more CPU coolers but I don't know where to start. I know you haven't said anything about the video card, but what do you think of this one?: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-video-card-gtx970gaming4g?It's Radeon so I bet CoolaxGaming would have an opinion too?
  12. Should I go with a 212 EVO and use the extra money for a 2TB HDD? Any suggestions on the HDD man?
  13. Like this GPU?: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-video-card-r9290xedfd and have any suggestions on the PSU there? CoolaxGaming have to say I agree with you so far so I'll trust you on the PSU.
  14. So I'm about to make this purchase, but would love some input before I do. Be super critical if you can. Am I getting too much cooling and not focusing on the CPU enough? Is my video card good for overclocking? Is this a really good SSD, or is there a better one? All tips and criticisms help and are greatly appreciated. I can stretch my budget a bit more if needed and get rid of the optical disc drive.
