Gaming If I get an ips can I still game?

So I have good specs and crap i7 4790k and gtx 970 Ik not the best but pretty good I have a basic 1080p lg monitor wanting to upgrade so I can get dual monitors budget is like 500 at tippy top of it what would you dudes recommend.

My monitor is 1080p but I only have one kinda want two what monitor would you recommend

Hello linustechtips friends, I have recently gotten a job and my first pay check is going to be around 360 dollars and I have around 200 dollars so the budget is around 560. What should I buy I have an i7 4790k a gtx 970 some normal lg monitor an ugly pc case very good notuca cpu cooler a lame hdd a black widow keyboard and a logitech g402. So what would you recommend I buy I was thinking maybe a very expensive gaming monitor then I could have dual monitors or an ssd and more ram I only have 8 or a nicer case. What would you guys think would be the best thing to buy with that money.
