Hi, I'm looking to build a new PC for myself that will last me for quite a few years, so looking for some decent parts. Case, power supply and widescreen 3440x1440 monitor are pretty solid. I was thinking a 2080ti as well. But i just saw the new release of the Ryzen 3rd gen CPUs coming July ish. I was just wondering should i be looking at them for their increase threads etc compared to what i was previously looking at (i7 7900K), as well as the PCIe 4.0 support for fast SSDs. i wasn't sure if the PCIe 4.0 system is that beneficial and if the AMD chipsets are very upgrade able (im not that familiar with AMD). then also will the PCIe 4.0 work with the 2080ti? Finally, if the ryzen 3rd is not best, then should i wait for it to release so intel will drop the prices for their lower performing equivalents? Also, fyi im a gamer that plays games like Overwatch and GTA with some other games added on.
Sorry for all of the questions, but thanks for any suggestions.
