CRISPY_SKIN's Achievements

  1. Marinading beef patties is a sin, Salt & Pepper is all you need m8..
  2. Thanks by the way, I meant to refer to the backplate installation* about the thermal pad issue way too tired when posting, haha
  3. Thanks, I'm using the same GPU & block so this gives me confidence
  4. Is there anyone out there, watercooling a reference 980Ti with an EK Titan X block & backplate? I'm just wondering, since there are no VRAM modules on the back of the PCB, unlike the Titan X.. are thermal pads even necessary for the 980Ti's?
  5. Can confirm, R5 owner here manged to squeeze in 2 x 280's & a single 120 http://i.imgur.com/pHXyHeV.jpg
  6. I know there's the "Acer Predator XB270HU" though I read the back light bleed is pretty heinous, are there any other monitors out there with these featured? Is the ROG swift coming in an IPS version any time soon?
  7. using a Fractal R5 280 up top pushing, and I guess another in the front extracting? If not a 240?
  8. So after watching copious amounts of Youtube videos, I've recently rigged up a custom CPU loop, including the motherboard.. now I've gotten the itch to add in a GPU. Are there any downsides to this? I assume my CPU temps will rise significantly, thanks to the GPU? Currently I am using a "monsoon dual 5.25 bay res" with a D5 pump. I've noticed the reservoir has extra ports to use..so by using said ports to connect the GPU, am I creating a new loop? or will the water temps still be high?
  9. Both video editing & gaming..Primarily editing
  10. So I plan a major GPU/Display overhaul in the coming months I'll be running a TItan X or 2 980Ti's in SLI, just can't decide on a monitor, HALP! I've had my eyes on an Acer predator XB270HU though I was quickly turned off by the constantly mentioned back-light bleeding...& also the gloss finish, ugh. anyway..If money were not an object, would you go 4k OR 2560x1440? (preferably an IPS panel)
  11. The res is a bay-res "monsoon dual 5.25".. so it's tricky to pull apart. an ISO & water bath seems the best option
  12. So, I have a custom CPU loop & am planning to replace tubing soon. I thought it'd be a good idea to flush out my res, blocks etc whilst i'm at it. so my questions are for all the watercooling vetarans out there..Is there any tried & trusted way of removing excess gunk? My initial thought was ISO alcohol and a lot of shaking, followed by a thorough distilled water flush?
