GoBroadwell's Achievements

  1. The current situation of this computer: Is able to boot into Ubuntu Live CD, did not try to install yet Is not able to boot into Windows installation disk (both Windows 7 and Windows 10) both with drives or WITHOUT drives (SATA Data cable disconnected), my SSD is completely blank in GPT Attempt to boot into Windows installation disk using EFI on usb results in: Recovery - Your PC/Device needs to be repaired - An unknown error occured. - 0xc000000e What is a potential solution to this problem? I need Windows desperately for some software that I need in the future, exclusive to Windows. (Virtual Machine is not an option, the software required heavy graphics and CPU usage)
  2. I have purchased it on the App Store on my MacBook. I will try using sudo /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Yosemite.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Install --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Yosemite.app --nointeraction and adding FakeSMC and Chimera on it. Sound like a plan?
  3. Yes, with extra kext drivers for XPS 8700, a patched kernel for bypassing XCPM, and Clover.
  4. http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-desktop-support/169037-kernel-panic-w-clover-unibeast.html Replies to this thread counts as replies to the target thread. Following is thread data: Hello Amateurs, I am here to ask for help regarding a kernel panic that occurs every time I start the Yosemite installation from Clover. The following boot flags were tested, does not work. -x -v GraphicsEnabler=No -no-zp kext-dev-mode=1 My PC hardware (Plain Dell XPS 8700 with a GPU update): Dell OEM Z97 Motherboard Intel Core i7-4790 EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 12GB DDR3 RAM You can find the rest of the specs on Dell's website. The contents on my flash drive contains Unibeast data, a modified kernel (to bypass XCPM), and Clover. For KP image, see linked post to tonymacx86.
  5. I personally prefer Core i5-4690K. I don't benefit from Hyper-Threading as of now, otherwise they are almost the same. Bucks matter!
  6. Something like Athlon X4 860K will be good. 4 physical cores. It beats Pentium G3258. While the only con being that this CPU does not include a GPU, so you will need ~40$ to equip a low-end graphics card.
  7. POWERED BY SANDISK CRUZER FIT USB 3. No SATA drives.
  8. What search phrase would I use when looking for a cheap "bare bones case"?
  9. Portrait.
  10. I have made a case for my AMD barebone Home Server using cardboard. I have cut open the I/O Ports and fan intakes. The system runs hotter than before; There are constantly warm air inside the case. My mom is concerned about the cardboard catching on fire. Does that happen? Does adding a case fan to the system improve air temperature inside the case? A picture of the case is likely below. In progress: visit http://mwms.mooo.com; Website still in construction. 12. Look at this. Is it because I put "CITY INDUSTRY" on the shipping label? Meh! :\
