  1. Ah, great! Then I think I'm going with Corsair 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3200MHz CL16 to kinda stay within the budget
  2. The retailers here only includes two 120mm fans with 4000D Airflow. Might need to add 1 or 2 maybe? For the cooler I decided to had Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO V2, just need to buy some thermal paste too. The RAM are tricky to balance with the price, but will try to find DDR4-3600 CL16. Just out of odd habit I'm not using se.pcpartpicker.com
  3. I wanted to add some information. I know that the Asus GeForce RTX 3070 Ti isn't the best cost-effective card, but I wanted to try to be within the budget as much as I could. Seems that adding case fans and the cpu fan forces me to go beyond my budget. I've already orded the Asus GeForce RTX 3070 Ti so that it doesn't go out-of-stock (as the other GPUs I put my eye on. Two days after I ordered the product expired on the retailers website. So it got me kinda concerned since there were 16 still in stock when I looked last time. Is Asus GeForce RTX 3070 Ti a solid choice?
  4. 5. Sorry for a late reply to the post. Update: I've decided to pick the 4000D Airflow case instead, I like how it looks. But split on what case fans I should add. Maybe 3x Arctic Cooling P12 A-RGB PWM PST? One question I have is if the cpu 5 5600x is a good choice or 5 5600g might be better, because it has integrated graphics and is newer? For the RAM I'm thinking about going down to 3200MHz instead, but I don't know how much that affects the performance. Didn't find the same ones within the budget in Sweden. Thank you, that's relieving to hear
  6. But in Sweden it's currently like 3070ti (on sale) is about $890 and 3080 is about $1260. And through EVGAs website it's out-of-stock There might be an issue with MSI B550-A PRO. Got a warning on pcpartpicker about the motherboard. "Some AMD B550 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Vermeer CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions." and I don't have a compatible CPU for that
  7. Thank you for the feedback. Changed the case, RAM storage. Only thing left is the motherboard and CPU cooler. Could you specify the motherboard? I could not find that kind of cooler in Sweden, but was thinking that the stock cooler could be okay nowadays? I might be wrong about the stock cooler. Otherwise maybe a Noctua could be good?
  8. Budget (including currency): 17000 SEK (around 1740 USD) Country: Sweden Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Blender 3d - rendering and video editing. Also gaming on weekends (probably not the most performance-heavy games) Planned pcpartpicker v2: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Jonilo5/saved/NDp3wP Finally planning to build a pc after the past two years. I appreciate feedback and tips. Hopefully this planned build doesn't have major bottlenecks.
  9. Thank you so much @IkeaGnome for the insight I will think about this (the sale is until Sunday) Also thanks for @swabro for the suggestion
  10. I didn't mention the price because I live in Sweden But converting 8500 Swedish Crowns to usd: 888 USD (rtx 3070 on sale) vs 1253 USD (rtx 3080) Looks really good, but unfortunately adding the shipping to Sweden would be like buying original price
  11. Hi! After 2 years I have finally found a decent GPU on sale. EVGA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti XC3 ULTRA for the price of 70% of a 3080. The question is... is 3070 TI worth it? I have heard that it's only a small improvement over 3070? Planning to use it for Blender 3D renders and occasional gaming on weekends.
  12. Thank you for explaining I don't think it's an issue to re-install all software all over in my situation so it should be fine.
  13. Hello! Currently only using an HDD as my main drive. Also currently using Windows 8.1. If I remove my HDD temporary and get a SSD and install windows 10 on it, then adding the HDD back, would I still be able to access and use all the files from my old system on the clean w10 installation? Have always been concerned about data-loss on my HDD during upgrade. Asking since I am not familiar about how the partitions differ and if they (w8.1 & w10) use the same file systems. Thanks in advance.
  14. Okay I used one DDU and removed all GPU drivers, it seems like I can boot into windows "normally" BUT every time I install a new (or old) driver I get the same black screen crash. Is my GPU dead after 6 years of light workload? (I barely played on it and finally got Valheim last week.. )
  15. Hi! Yesterday I got a concerning issue, my desktop doesn't boot. When booting up i get the bios screen, then the windows loading and then it gets black. The HDD led stops blinking after a little while too. This happened when I didn't have a monitor and no mouse/keyboard connected to it, since I was working with my other computer while this one was supposed to boot up, when I connected my monitor and all it was black. I highly suspect it has something to do with my AMD GPU. I know this from WhoCrashed: There was a crash log directly after but it contained nothing (Like it said "Custom error" or something with 0x0 as Bugcheck code). After I took this image I tried several things along side recover to an earlier date and I lost the logs and such What I have tried so far: * Windows safe mode - Almost worked "flawlessly" (aside from the fact that I couldn't open Windows update and internet issues) * Recovery to earlier date * Windows diagnostics * Remove graphics drivers in safe mode The last point is the most interesting because when I did that I could boot up as ordinary, for 2-3 minutes (with low resolution) and then my computer crashes and I get the black screen after I login on my windows account. Could that be a heating issue? But why don't I have the same time limit on the safe mode? (since I have used it for a much longer time than that). I have no idea how to fix this ----Desktop setup: ---- CPU: AMD Athlon X4 860K 3.7GHz Quad-Core Processor Motherboard: ASRock FM2A88M EXTREME4+ Micro ATX FM2+ Motherboard Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Video Card: XFX Radeon R9 270 2GB Core Edition Video Card Power Supply: XFX 550W 80+ Windows 8.1, x64 I purchased the OS. Age of system: 6 years Age of OS: 6 years (havent re-installed as I remember) ---- ----- Edit: After a weekend of investigation I have concluded that my GPU is allergic of GPU drivers now... Every attempt to install a AMD driver gave the same result towards a black screen crash.
