  1. I have a WD Mycloud, it works but I'm using the PlexMediaServer plugin. At the time I bought it the 2*4TB disks inside were only £60 cheaper than the NAS itself.
  2. Your never going to get that kind length of use though. assuming I don't write more then 10GB a week how long will drives last?
  3. Thanks for your reply, I don't know the links aren't working. How long do you recon the drives will last, the warrenty is only three years.
  4. Hello World, I have a QNAP TS-409 pro NAS which I use for all of my data storage, recently one my Hard Disks failed so I decided to replace them. I need roughly 4TB but the NAS can't handle disks more 2TB big and it doesn't support RAID 10 As far as I can work out I have three options: 1) 3* WD reds @ £75 each in RAID5 2) 4* Seagate Barracuda @ £50 each in RAID 6 3) 4* Seagate Barracuda @ £50 each in two sets of RAID 1 From what I gathered option two is the worst option but I'm not sure weather to get WD reds or Seagate Barracudas I'm not overly fused about speed so long as I stream 1080p Films or TV via SMBA/DLNA (I doubt that the HDDs are the bottle necks but I thought it was worth mentioning) but I am very concerned about how long they will last, I'm hoping for at least 5 years. Thanks for any help,
