I upgraded recently my pc and my old motherboard had 3.0Gb/s sata ports which my LG Blu Ray was connected. My new motherboard has sata 6.0Gb/s only.Will my optical drive work with my new mobo..? Because i want to do a fresh install for windows 10 with a DVD. Any help apppreciated.Thx guys.

Yes they both are in QVL list of the mobo.

Bought all the parts.Only thing left is windows 10 instailation.I prefer to do it by USB but I'm afraid will my USB ports work or do i need drivers to be downloaded for them to work..? If they don't work i can't install windows so what i do?Buy the DVD version of Windows 10...?

Will buy a mobo from GIGABYTE.Saw their QVL for ssd and they had Samung EVO 250 GB.Mine is same series but 1 Terabyte.Will i have compatibility issues...?

Does that mean that i can install an optical drive through those ports you mentioned?

Does that mean that if i buy this motherboard can't install my optical drive through sata port?It says on the specifications none of these ports support atapi devices.

The board Fatal1ty Z97 Professional has 6 x SATA3 6.0 Gb/s Connectors by Intel® Z97 and 2 x SATA3 6.0 Gb/s Connectors by ASMedia ASM1061, support NCQ, AHCI. I want to install my optical drive which is an LG Blu Ray player.The specs of the board doesn't say no atapi devices supported.Will the sata 3.0 ports work for my optical drive?And what cable do i need? Because the mobo came with 4 sata 3.0 6gbs cables...... Appreciate some advice

Some hlp plz.Hello i want to buy 16Gb of ram set and i chose G.Skill F3-14900CL9Q-16GBZL RIP JAWS.My motherboard is ASUS MAXIMUS VII HERO.My question is instead of buying 2X8GB set i want to buy 4X4 GB for the looks of my system.Will i have any problem running 4 sticks of memory instead of two?Because the motherboard is a dual channel.I would appreciate some help from you guys. Thanks.
