  1. Bump! Replaced the power supply with an A Tier power supply from the PSU Tier List (Superflower Leadex 750W Gold) And the issue still occurs.
  2. Bump! Still unable to find a replacement power supply/ Whats weird is that it will only happen on first or second start up of the day, rest of the day will work fine. Just after an extended power off (in the night) and first turn on in the morning
  3. Ran it on next restart and seems no errors occured.
  4. Its an NVME SSD, I tried running it said the drive is in use (Since its my only drive I assume), will run on next restart
  5. Superflower Legion Pro GX 650W... 80+ Gold. I believe it is the same as the Superflower Leadex(which is A-Tier in the PSU Tier list here), just that it's semi-modular
  6. Hey all, I recently built a PC but having a random issue where sometimes the PC will shut itself off (fans and RGB all die) and then immediately turns itself back on. (If it's restarted through windows, the fans and RGB don't turn off). Here are the specs: Ryzen 5 3600 ASrock B550m Pro4 Crucial Ballistix 3600 CL16 DDR4 (8GBx2) WD Black SN750 500GB Nvme Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580 Superflower Legion Pro GX 650W Windows 10 64-Bit Little more background: It first happened while gaming on Doom. It happened, I immediately got back into the game and it happened again, and then worked fine, gaming multiple times. I checked the temps as well and all seemed fine. It happened again while playing doom and the temps were all fine. Day before yesterday it happened just while on windows, just booted up, it would shut down an restart, and then again did it again. And then worked fine the rest of the day. This happened Day before (Shut down twice within 10 minutes), Yesterday (Also twice) and today (Happened thrice). So from what I notice it happens once or twice, and then works fine. I can game, run stress tests no matter, so I don't think its the temps at all. Usually happens on the first boot of the day, will happen once or twice and then run the entire day no worries. Thing's I've tried: Changed RAM XMP profile to 3400 and not full 3600. Made sure all drivers are installed Checked all standoffs to the motherboard (I did this because I knew one wasn't proper because of the wrong screw, I removed it and put the correct screw and its okay). Checked power connectors All parts are brand new except the GPU which is used. I'm at a loss for what to do and as a new builder it's quite worrying!
  7. I'll give that a try tonight then... Building on top of a box is safe yes? Without stand offs and whatnot the mobo would have direct contact with the box. Thanks
  8. @Atmos @Poster @ApolloX75 @Samfisher @adman29 @MagnesiumPC @StareX @Arcanekitten @watts300 So I did the recommended thing and unplugged everything from the mobo and power supply (it's modular) Only things connected were Cpu fan connected to motherboard Motherboard connected to power supply Motherboard cpu fan slot connected to power supply And all the case things (case Fan, front audio etc) were connected I removed all ram sticks as well... Same thing occur... Infinite restart loop Also I did the psu test... Psu runs fine indefinitely.
  9. I tried it even without ram to try and get into the bios.... No cigar. I'll remove the psu today and try the psu test. Btw I removed all the peripherals some time ago.. Today I plugged in the keyboard however in the short time the pc turns on... No keyboard led lights come on? Does it take time for the keyboard led lights to come on? Or? I plugged in my headphones and those lights come on fine even when the computer is not on as it usually does
  10. Hey sorry, meant to post specs before but forgot... i5 3470 @ stock clock Gigabyte H77-Ds3h Sapphire Radon HD 7850 2Gb 6 GB RAM (4X1 AND 2X1) Things I've tried : Resetting CMOS by removing the battery Trying with only one stick of ram trying each one Also there are no sounds as far as I can tell... Just turns on, all the fans start turning... And after a while switches off... Waits around 3 second and turns on again No warranty on any of the items other than ram Thanks for all the help thus far
  11. Hey guys thanks for all the replies. I removed all connected devices including the power, removed the cmos battery.... Held the power button on for a good 30 seconds to dispell any remaining power from the system.... Put the cmos back in and booted up however there is no change to the situation sadly
  12. Long time lurker, first time poster here.. Alright guys, as a grown man I'm not afraid to admit that I'm honestly on the verge of tears. My computer has been everything to me ever since I built it, and I'm afraid if either the psu or the motherboard is broken, I won't have enough cash to replace it. So I was using my pc as usual and suddenly everything froze.... I waited for a bit but it was completely frozen so I pressed the restart button... As I do this I notice the screen doesn't come on anymore, and it turns out the pc turns on, I can see the cpu fan turning for around 5-7 seconds.. Then the pc turns off... And then it starts again... And does the same thing repeatedly until I turn off the psu... Any idea what could be wrong?
