Is there a specific cause or action linked to this damage? something i can avoid in the future

I got this gpu a long time ago an just yesterday i starte getting green and pink flickers on my two monitors, i thought it was a bug but i had to take out the gpu fom the pc because it wouldnt stop happening. I cant work or even watch a movie. is there an explanation? a fix? Specs: Intel i5 4690 8gb DDR3 hyperx fury 1600Mhz gygabite z97 gaming 5 motherboard x4 ultra 1050Watt psu EVGA gtx 770 SC All drivers are up to date. So my LG tv stopped working a few weeks ago. By this i mean the HDMI and composite video channels stopped working at all, they wont show any video signal. This happened once before and i had to replace what the provider named as the motherboard because it overheated and something got damaged. That solution is not available at this time as the tv seems to be too old. the only way there is any video signal is the USB port and the VGA (No matter what i plug into the vga it will say invalid format) Leaving the USB port as a last resort; Is there any way to plug an ISP tv box from HDMI and plugging it through a USB to the tv? PS; buying a new 32 inch tv where i live is not an option, there are no 1080p tv available at that size anymore. TV serial: Lg RBFS B721A

So im planning on installing the insider version of windows 10, but i have a couple questions, -Does it erase all my present data?(games, music, pictures) -Does it overwrite the W8.1 data?
