I got a XFX R9 380 with 2GB of RAM DDR5, and i want it to play at 1080 resolution. is there any real diference between 2 and 4gb of ram? in witch aspect could i expect a performance problem? I got it almost 90dlls less than the 4gb version, was it a good choice? I never said it was a laptop, i said i was looking at this option, but I need a laptop (with a screen) to use 2 screens at once, also, something specific in the budget? 1.- Portable 2.- Under 500dlls 3.- HDMI capable 4.- Capable of 1080 projection with dual display (laptop display does not need to be 1080), while playing music 5.- Preferably from bestbuy or amazon

I'm looking for a cheap laptop for a HDMI projector at 1080 resolution, I have an old laptop that keeps freezing frames during the projection, and i want a smooth video in the projector, while using the laptop screen to play music, i was looking at this option: http://espanol.bestbuy.com/site/apple-mac-mini-intel-core-i5-1-4ghz-4gb-memory-500gb-hard-drive-white/7814097.p?id=1218861012264&skuId=7814097 I need it to be portable, i use it in my business, and i have a budget of 500dlls, is there a better option?

I'm looking for the best performance GPU for my setup, the only think I don't want are bottlenecks, i don't want an overpowered card, or a junk piece that's slower than my CPU, or a card that can run up to 4k, while i only want a 1920*1080 resolution, i was thinking about a R9 290 but im afraid it can be overpowered, witch one you recommend?. My setup: CPU: Intel i5 4570 COOL: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO MOBO: Gigabyte B85M-Gaming 3 PSU: CX600M 600w RAM: PNY 16gb (2x8gb) DDR3 1600mhz SSD ©: ADATA SSD 256GB HDD (D): Western Digital Blue, 1TB 64MB, 7200RPM CASE: Cooler Master N200 DISPLAY: HP 2311x, 23in 1920*1080 i have a budget of 200dlls up to 250dlls if necesary, thanks for the suggestions

I have plugged 3 microphones on the back of the MOBO, they are recognized, set as "line In", individual system, driver, and Realtek HD audio software volume set to the max, and still on the audio devices, the green lines still don't show up, i even buy a new microphone, and still it doesn't work, could i be missing something... I don't think it's the MOBO because it recognizes the device This instructions didn't help: http://www.onlinemictest.com/microphone-settings/windows-7 My System: CPU: Intel Core i5-4570 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus 76.8 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B85M-GAMING 3 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard Memory: PNY XLR8 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory Storage: A-Data Premier Pro SP600 256GB 2.5" Solid State Drive Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Case: Cooler Master N200 MicroATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply: Corsair CX 600W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply Monitor: Acer V173DJbm 17.0" Monitor Monitor: HP 2311x 23.0" Monitor Generated by PCPartPicker 2015-07-29 03:13 EDT-0400

I'm new in the "make your own PC" world, and I don't have any tools yet, I pretend to stay working on my PC, changing components, maybe some modding on the future, to all of you who have done a lot of work on your PC, witch tools you think are the best, and witch ones you recommend to make the PC arm and disarm more easy. I know a multi bit screwdriver is basic, witch one, or witch bits do I need, for SERIOUS business (change the GPU fans, disarm a PSU, open a HDD etc etc), also another tools like a magnetic tray etc., to make life easier. Thanks

I heard that the heatsink (i have a 212 evo), counts as a exhaust, but how much?, i don't think is the same as a case exhaust. In a Cooler Master N200, with 6 120mm fans: 2 intakes in front, 1 in the side 1 exhaust in the back, 1 in the top, and the heatsink fan verticaly, its suppoused to be negative presure, BUT, the front of the case has a slight filtering, and theres the heatsink helping the exhaust, all of them run at 2000rpm, so is it negative or positive?, thats my problem

I want to improve the FPS from my games while making them look the best they can, my question is: In the game settings you can change a lot of options, witch ones requiere the most power from the GPU? I noticed that changing the resolution from 1920x1080 to 1600x900 make the FPS almost double, while cutting texture size, not even change the FPS, what's the best downgrades you can make in a game to improve FPS the most, while keeping looking nice?

I bought a laptop for my wife: Asus x551c CPU: i3 3217u 1.8 ghz RAM: 4gb She uses a lot of editing tools like photoshop, and has problems with slowdowns, i want to upgrade the CPU and RAM, witch CPU and how much RAM do you recomend?, I tried looking at the slot spects, but it seems laptop MOBO are just a pain in the *** at least as chipsets and slot type

Is there a way to test the airflow, check if it's positive or negative and the direction of flow in a case, without a smoke machine?, i heard about "Wait until dust covers the case intakes to see where the intakes are" but... that's just weird, I was thinking about a bunch of inciense sticks, but that sounds unpleasant, have anyone tried something easy?

My MOBO comes with just 2 USB 3.0 on the back, and 1 in the front in the case, I want to expand using a PCI 1x 2.0 slot, is there a problem with speed if I want a PCI card with 5 USB 3.0 connectors? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA5RY31D6205&cm_re=PCI_1x_usb_3-_-14G-0001-00017-_-Product Should I get an external HUB instead?

When to use a SSD or HDD and life expectancy
Dr. Tejeda replied to Dr. Tejeda's topic in Storage Devices
Bestbuy, Calexico, and they just stop working, One crashed, and i could get some files using Ubuntu, but the other 2, just stop working completely, even ubuntu couldn't open the drive, maybe the arm broke or something, but that happened exactly 2 years from purchase, and the guaranty expired, i get an extended waranty for the 3rd one, I hope this one doesn't do the same. -
PCI express 1x on the MOBO
Dr. Tejeda replied to Dr. Tejeda's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Its my entry point gaming PC, is really that bad?, i dont need more PCI slots, and more than 16gb of ram is not necesary, is there any other problem with that motherboard?, also in the future maye 2 or 3 years, that pc wil be for my wife, and I will build a new one, maybe then i will get a bigger one, but for the time being, is there a problem with this one really?
