Suggestions? (same price point as the INTEL one i've got in there)

Just looking for advice if this is a solid build to get for all types of gaming. Mainly playing escape from tarkov at present but play all sorts of games. The last build i made (i7-4790k with 16gb ram 970sli) has done me good for 6 years so hoping this will do the same? So, what do you guys think? I've currently got the Sennheiser GAME ONE headset and I've loved it since the day I bought it and I find it hard to look at anything that isn't sennheiser. Unfortunately I no longer get any audio from the left earcup after my headset was thrown on the floor in a blind rage >.< Do you think this is a good upgrade? Edit: I am using it for gaming more than anything else. Currently got back into QUAKE so positional audio is most important to me.

I guess you're right. I guess I'm more than happy with it seeing as it has to be pitch black in the room to notice any backlight bleed. If I turn my light on you can't notice any

So I just got my asus rog swift pg279q delivered and this is the backlight bleed, the camera makes it look worse than it is but from someone who knows, what do you think? i see that the bottom left is the worst part but the other 3 corners are barely noticeable to the eye (clear on a camera). would you be happy with this or should I get an exchange? edit: when there is an image on screen there is no noticeable sign of backlight bleed.

and the i7 4790k will cope fine? (im guessing it will)

I currently have 970SLI, what FPS would i be expecting to reach in ultra graphics on average games such as World of Warships, World of Warcraft, Overwatch when it comes out, ect? Also what about demanding games for example Witcher 3? thanks. - The answers will help me decide between getting the PG279Q (27 Inch IPS 2560 x 1440p) and the PG348Q (34 inch ultrawide 3440 x 1440p)

My parents are looking for a new laptop as theirs is packing up. I would like to get them a new Windows laptop with a budget of £350. As my knowledge only lies with gaming pc rigs, could anyone suggest the best value for money laptop at around the £350 range? Or less? Cheers. My friend has asked me about the difference in AMD and Intel, and I've picked up a load about Intel and nvidia on here but I know nothing about AMD. So the question is, if the AMD FX-8350 CPU with a Radeon r9 390 8gb nitro GPU and the Intel core i5-4690k with a GTX 970 gigabite g1 cost the same, which would you go for and why?

What motherboard would you get out of the above two, and why?
