  1. And thanks I'll have a check now
  2. I could take a picture if you'd like, it only has two ports above the PCI-E label
  3. My PSU is the " 950W High Efficiency G7 Extreme Modular Super Silent Power Supply " and this comes with two PCI-E power ports,I recently bought the " ASUS STRIX GTX980-DC2OC-4GD5 256 Bit NVIDIA GTX 980 Graphics Card" and this requires a 6 pin and an 8 pin oging into the card, however I only have two six pins. With the card they gave me an 8-pin adapter what i need to plug in two six pins into. However my psu can only have two 6 pins connected, and over all i'd need three six pins (one for the six pin, and two for the eight pin), however the cards works with only six pin plugged into the 8 pin adapter, but I'm worried it's not healthy for the card. My friend has a 6+2 pin in his PSU, so I'm trying to buy one that goes from my PSU into a 6+2 pin or an 8 pin. However I don't know if my current power setup for the card is fine or needs changing, I'm a complete idiot and could use some help, thanks.
  4. Damn that sucks, first time using the mouse haha it makes sense though since the problem still persists on another computer, thanks for the help.
  5. I was using my new Zowie FK2 on CS:GO and I was changing my settings to left handed by holding down buttons and plugging the mouse in at the same time, it was only when I decided to change back to right handed the problem occurred. I held down the buttons and plugged it in, but no lights turned on, windows recognised a device being plugged and made a sound, and the mouse is present when I look in devices and goes when I unplug it, however the mouse no longer let me move the cursor on my PC. I have tried a reboot and changing ports on either side of my PC, I also tried my old mouse what still works in a port the Zowie didn't. One odd thing is the sensor on the bottom is dimly lit and when it's first plugged in the DPI button lights up for half a second.
  6. Thanks for all the feedback it'll help so much thank you !

  8. Hahaha, thank you for the help and I'll look at the 970 or 980 now thank you, those are GeForce aren't they, would I be alright switching from radeon to geforce, I'm a complete idiot in this area
  9. Hi, I have created this topic as I am in need of help and don't want to screw up, I want to upgrade my graphics card because on GTA V it get a maximum of 25FPS on the settings I would prefer. I think it's my graphics card what needs upgrading, as I said in the title I'm a complete novice. Here are my specs on my current build Cooler Master CM690 II case 950W High Efficiency G7 Extreme Modular Super Silent Power Supply MSI B75MA-E33 Intel Motherboard i7-3770 Quad Core Processor 3.5Ghz 3GB AMD RADEON HD7950 2TB SATA III 6Gb/s, 7200rpm, 64MB Cache, 8ms Hard Drive As I said I don't know what to do to help my FPS , I've tried using AMD overdrive and yet still had no avail, if any parts are in need of upgrading my price range is about £300-£400, any help and tips would be greatly appreciated.
  10. Update: I've been searching around and a GPU what seems to be around my price range is the AMD radeon R9 290X, would this work with my build, or could I get a GPU what suits my build better, and improve performance even if slightly more expensive ?
  11. After about 15 minutes of gameplay it's about 32 degrees Celsius in each core, and yes that my power supply.
  12. Crap, got the wrong wattage on the PSU ahah sorry, it's actually 950W, and so I only need to upgrade my GPU, could you perhaps give me a suggestion for my price range ? And by temps I assume you mean temperature, and when playing GTA for around 30 minutes the temperature of my GPU is around 50-60 degrees Celsius.
