This is a list of the most interesting things about me :
    -
  1. I have 8 in my rig and it doesn't feel like it needs more.
  2. Thanks! I'll probably have to build it for her (which isn't really an issue) because it'd be her first build. I'll run this by her.
  3. Well I assume fancy and a playable amount of chunks, at best she'd use photoshop but not for any high res work, I don't think she cares about any extra features or what brand of cpu is running it and if you're done with these threads you don't need to reply
  4. My friend wants to get herself a fairly low end pc just to do work and play some games like minecraft and gmod. I have no idea what to recommend for her £500 budget. All she knows is she wants wifi in it and doesn't intend to play the latest games. Any reccomendations for pre built machines or parts lists?
  5. The first one, thank you! I was confused because I can only find ADSL cables.
  6. I need to get a new DSL cable for my BT Modem but on the modem it says it is VDSL. Does that mean I need a VDSL cable or can I just buy an ADSL cable?
  7. So I'm planning to upgrade my motherboard and CPU from AMD to to Intel. Though after some research I fear that my operating system won't work anymore. What will happen if I make the change?
  8. Thanks for the help. I'll probably go with this
  9. I plan on upgrading my PC for the Oculus Rift and need some reccomendations for the CPU and motherboard (also intend on getting a better case). This is my current system (http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/TKvCGX) but since the Rift needs an intel cpy to work, I need to change some things. I have a budget of around £300 for the upgrades but saving some money for the headset would also be nice.
  10. Hi, I have an xbox one and recently all of my controllers have been disconnecting when paired wirelessly. To resolve this I have been using the 2m cable that came with the official play and charge kit that microsoft sells. This was working fine for me (although it is a little too short) until recently as the cable is breaking and my controller disconnects every time I so much as move my hand. Does anyone have any recommendations for a quality cable for the xbox one controller that's about 3m long? Preferably UK websites/stores.
  11. I was thinking of expanding my setup over the holidays and need advice on monitors. Would a 970 handle dual or even triple monitor display? If so what monitors would be good for it as it only has one of each output EDIT: well I guess it should be fine to get three but my main issue is choice, I'd probably only game on one properly so I probably only need 2, do adapters affect quality at all?
  12. I have the same version as you. I'm going to try a fresh install of it and see if that helps.
  13. I have an Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 and the TV definitely works on all ports. I tested my windows 10 preview boot and that worked fine just now from the same port ,same cable and same machine. For some reason on windows 8 it can't detect it in Windows screen resolution or Nvidia Control Panel.
