  1. I did not confirm this with ipconfig, because that's how I tested the mesh system (turned off wifi on the router): Connect only 1 out of 3 nodes, change it to AP mode, enable home wifi - works The second I enable guest wifi - that's it, everything is slow, shutdown to the node all of the sudden Ethernet is working. PiHole is updated, yes. The Raspberry Pi itself is updated. Blocklists are not related to this, there are a lot tho, but I tailed the pihole logs, it doesn't appear to be the issue, I even disabled blocking. PiHole isn't my DHCP. I don't think the PiHole itself is the problem. I'm 80% sure the problem was the DNS server couldn't be reached by the guest wifi on the mesh system. The PiHole is local network, guest wifi is isolated from local network, it can't reach it = problem. Everywhere I searched "Deco with PiHole and Guest Network" has the same result - didn't work. 1. There is a CAT7 cable to where I need, yes, it's already there. 2. Cheap as possible (if possible EU plug, not US) 3. 100/10M, but it's going to be 1000/100M later.
  2. Regarding the mesh system: I used TP-Link Deco X20 3-pack. It didn't answer to my needs so I've retruned it. There was no "bridge" mode, only "Router" and "Access Point". When I put it on AP mode and turned on Guest WiFi - The entire network (home+guest) was suuuuper slow and unusable, probably because the guest network had no access to the DNS server (pi-hole), there was no option to change it, so it didn't help me, that's the reason I've returned it. So... what do I do now? I have to extend the WiFi range of the guests and I would like a solution. What do I buy in order to make it work? What do I need to change?
  3. I have DSL connection at home, PPPoE Dual Stack. I have 2 WiFi on the router setup: one for trusted devices (such as me and my family to access the connected NAS and etc), and one wifi for guests (which has IoT devices and guests) I have DNS Server on my home network, a pi-hole, connected to port #1 on the router. The guest WiFi that I setup on my router still Isolates the home network from guest network, but they can still access the DNS server, which is perfect. Problem occurred when I wanted to extend the guest WiFi: I bought a mesh system (3 units), disabled my WiFi on the router, enabled the home WiFi and the guest WiFi on the mesh, and to my surprise - the guest network didn't have a DNS server (which somehow affected even the main network, everything was super slow, I'm not sure why) I've returned the mesh system. So now I really need help. Long story short: I want to extend my guest WiFI (my home WiFi is not that important, but if possible I would like to extend that too) If possible this will be like that - I want to connect a product that has RJ-45 port, which I will connect to port #2 on the router, which will extend the range of the guest WiFi. If that product has the option to have a Custom DNS for guest WiFi - GOOD!
  4. Thank you all for your help! I have another small question. The power supply I chose has this: While my motherboard has this: So my question here is the motherboard power connectors, especially part A and B. Part B match the power supply top right connection (4+4 CPU), so that's ok, but what about part A (EATX12V_2)? what do I do with it? how do I connect it? there is no 4 pin connection that matches the power supply.
  5. Hey Currently using a PC from 2012, which I did not pick the parts and I did not built it. Intel i5-3550 DDR3 8GB RAM (single channel) No case fans (removed them because stopped working, as an alternative I opened the case a bit) Broken motherboard with missing SATA connectors, GTX 1650 (GPU is new, I bought and plugged in) Now I'm going to pick all the parts and build it so technically it is my first build, but I had some experience with putting the pieces together when my current PC had a few of bluescreens. My new PC build I plan on buying from Amazon and build myself: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/skQvLP AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor Noctua NH-D15 SE-AM4 82.52 CFM CPU Cooler Asus TUF GAMING X570-PRO (WI-FI) ATX AM4 Motherboard Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive with heatsink Cooler Master MasterBox TD500 Mesh w/ Controller ATX Mid Tower Case Corsair HX Platinum 750 W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply Noctua A12x25 PWM 60.1 CFM 120 mm Fan Noctua A12x25 PWM 60.1 CFM 120 mm Fan Noctua A12x25 PWM 60.1 CFM 120 mm Fan Noctua A12x25 PWM 60.1 CFM 120 mm Fan (Already have a GPU, keyboard, mouse, mousepad, monitor, headset) Notes: 1) This motherboard has the following: 1 x 4-pin CPU Fan header 1 x 4-pin CPU OPT Fan header 1 x 4-pin AIO Pump header 3 x 4-pin Chassis Fan headers (Source: Official Manual, page 8) The "Noctua NH-D15" goes to "CPU Fan header", no problem there. This is where it gets tricky: The case "Cooler Master MasterBox TD500 Mesh" has place for up to x7 fans of 120mm (Source: Official Website) Case includes x3 fans of 120mm, with ARGB, which are on the front, I'm going to takes those x3 fans of 120mm included with the case and place them on top of the case as PUSH air (because I don't want the ARGB and because they aren't as good as Noctua) So I plan on buying a total of x4 fans of 120mm from Noctua (A12x25), x3 of which will be on the front to PULL air from the front, and x1 fan of 120mm will be PUSH air from back of the case. The plan here is to populate the entire case with fans, good ones on front and back, and "bad" ones on the top), all without RGB. Now my issues with this is: 1.a) How do I turn off the ARGB? (I guess using BIOS, but the case includes "controller", where do I plug this to? and what happens if I don't plug that in where it's supposed to go?) 1.b) How do I connect x7 fans of 120mm and to which connector on the motherboard? remember there's only 3 connectors on the motherboard (as I mentioned above), also what happens if I plug all the fans to one PWM connector? good? bad? By the way, on the official manual, which linked above, you can see the motherboard connections on page 14, I would love for someone to explain it to me using the image on the manual and physical cables rather than text. 2) As you can see on "pcpartpicker" there is one compatibility issue, that is the motherboard and the CPU, The motherboard needs a BIOS update in order to POST with the new CPU from AMD, that's why there is this BIOS flashback thing, so just to confirm - I don't need to buy another CPU just to update, right? 3) The motherboard has ACTIVE chipset cooling, what happens if the fan suddenly fails? I guess it's not easy to replace and it's bad for the long run, right? 4) Originally I planned on simply buying 16GB, but the 32GB is SO CHEAP, I couldn't resist it. 5) I don't buy the case from Amazon, I buy it locally, cheaper. 6) The build on "pcpartpicker" is incorrect - storage isn't listed: "Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive with heatsink" 7) I will buy new GPU when prices will be cheaper, so there won't be any bottlenecks.
  6. I'll take it. Maaaaad respect for you! This made my life easier!
  7. I'm on pro version of win10, so... still no working... Yes, those two settings you included didn't change the "Receive Updates for other Microsoft Products" As of "functions as if were on" I have no idea either My guess is that it doesn't work, just because the indicator doesn't say "ON" even after restart. I wonder what will fix this weird issue, everything is working except this specific one, that's funny and a bit annoying lol (not you, you are great, the issue is annoying)
  8. That's exactly what I wanted! Nice! Thank you! Everything is working except one thing. But that's still an accomplishment! Mad respect to you for helping me with this little thing of mine. The only problem now is the "Receive Updates for other Microsoft Products", I can't find a solution to this yet, all I found was this: https://www.thewindowsclub.com/how-to-update-other-microsoft-products-using-windows-update Which wasn't helpful, I created those two folders (Windows Update, AU) and created that DWORD inside the last folder and restarted the PC, nothing changed.
  9. Ok, so after some playing with the script: One script is missing - #10 - Windows Updates advanced options - Enable all 4 options (This one is probably my bad since I edited the post and you missed it) #5 - Performance options Is there any way to customize what's being enabled and what's being disabled? I will take any option that has 1 click on it, registry, cmd, bat, powershell, shortcut to the menu itself? Edit: Never mind ,I found the registry for that on the link you sent me. My bad. #6 - Rename this PC Is there any way to run it as CMD or BAT (I think they are the same?) If there isn't - then what are my alternatives? Creating a shortcut to the menu itself (so like... 2 clicks?) I still wanna thank you once more, it might be a second worth of job for you but for a noob like me this is no easy feat, so once again - Thank you!
  10. Thank you very very much! I appreciate it! I will test it out and modify and if there's any problem I will reply. But for now - Thank you!!
  11. Yes, I'm ok with using PowerShell. I have never used PowerShell so I'm not aware of its functions, as long as it's a one click it's good for me. As long as it's one click/file it's OK. I have no idea what's group policy is, I'm sorry. If it's more than a single file I don't think I would want that.
  12. Hello This topic might be weird for some, but bear with me, please. I want to quickly change settings on Windows 10, using Registry or CMD command. The problem is that I don't know which values to change on Registry and I don't know which command to run on CMD in order to apply those settings. I want a single file or CMD command to run so all of those settings will be applied once I run it. It would be helpful if you could point me to each directory of each settings so I will be able to modify it in order to change settings quickly. If it's not possible to change all settings shown here, I would like a shortcut to run the menu of each settings so that I can manually change those settings. (Instead of searching the settings one by one and get confused) Bottom line - I need to change those settings either by Registry or by CMD or by opening a shortcut that will open up the settings menu. 1) User Account Control - Never notify ( If this one is not possible I can understand since it's a security measure ) 2) Taskbar change: Search - Hidden Disable Cortana Disable Task View 3) Sounds - Do nothing 4) Disable recently used files Disable frequently used folders 5) Adjust the appearance and performance of Windows ( This one I want to customize what to enable and what to disable) 6) Open the menu of "Rename this PC" ( Just open this menu, there's probably a CMD to open it, but I don't know what is it ) 7) Change Power options to High Performance 8) Change sleep (screen + PC) to never 9) Disable Windows Search Indexing 10) Windows updates - Advanced options - Enable all 4 settings ( Don't pause updates )
  13. Hello I would like to take this hosts file and use it on my router. How do I do it? Is it even possible? Do I need a special equipment? Will the router be slower? Any information will help me!
  14. Reinstalling GTX 1650 Drivers doesn't help. I bought the HTP-074 - VSX-325 on 2018, so you're saying it might "getting weak"?
