  1. since this is the cheapest i could go so far and the price is much more appealing than a 800 euro pricetag
  2. so is that a yes or no on the parts? since the cheapest xeon is a bit more expensive than the 4460 and might bump up the price of the motherboard
  3. right now she is using ableton live. thats all i can say since i have no idea about music production. recomended software?
  4. i am building a PC for my sister. she is into making her own music and editing videos for them to post on youtube. my sister doesnt have that big of a budget and although her budget is around 700 euros i would like to make it as cheap as possible for her. this is what i got so far http://de.pcpartpicker.com/p/Dc7vHx she can use the integrated graphics for now and if ever she decides to take up gaming she could upgrade and get a gtx 960 or so. to save a bit she could stay with 8gb ram instead of 16...just thinking about if she decides to get a gpu in the future she could use the extra ram for more demanding video edits... what do you guys think?
  5. well fresh install would be my first step but getting the OS on the new laptop is what my question is. once i have the OS running on my new laptop i would do a fresh instell over the OS. my question is more of if it will be possible to do it like that or if microsoft will come and tell me to buy it since it is a new hardware. i came to that thought because i already bought a laptop with windows on it and with that the lisence to use windows with it. so throwing away the laptop is like throwing away a lisence of a still usable OS. or is there something wrong with my way of thinking?
  6. so i have a 5 year old laptop and last year i upgraded it to win10 hoping i can squeeze a little bit more life out of it. now it is just too slow and i cant do much or anything on it anymore, so i need an upgrade. the cheaper ónes come without windows and i was thinking if i could use the windows i have on my old laptop on my new one instead since i will get rid of it anyway. maybe by doing an image of it and putting it on the new laptop? if it is possible my old laptop has an amd cpu and the new one would be intel. is it possible?
  7. So i have this nearly 5 year old samsung laptop. it has 4gb ram terrible hdd and a amd e-350 cpu. i wanted to upgrade the memory to 8 gb and swap the hdd with an ssd. hoping to increase the speed of the laptop and be able to give it to my sister so she wont ask me for my laptop. my concern is that the amd e-350 only has 2 cores running at 1.6 ghz. and looking at it it already runs at 100% will ssd and ram improve on that and take some load off or will it still be running slow and i should just look for a new cheap laptop? but 200 bucks is cheaper than 500-700
  8. Thanks will buy it at the end of the month
  9. hahaha ok. thats why i am asking since this will be my first laptop i was just looking at the specs. from the suggested laptops this is the one that is in my price range and where i am satisfied with the specs. http://geizhals.de/msi-ge72-2qf-apache-pro-ge72-2qfi7w8h11-001791-sku1003-a1303137.html what do you think?

  12. what exactly is so bad about it? i am not looking into gaming a lot with this laptop. just video editing. and from the specs it looks fine. could anyone explain what is so bad about hp laptops?
  13. so i am looking into buying a new laptop for videoediting. i just build my pc about a year ago and now i want to buy a laptop. i wont mainly be editing my videos on my laptop. but i will be going back home in summer and want to film and edit there. i cant bring my pc so i will be needing a laptop with which i can make a rough cut and do the finishing touches when i am back. i want to do the rough cut so i know if i am missing some footage or not. these i are the laptops i have been looking at: http://www.amazon.de/dp/B013WGRXZI?smid=A3JWKAKR8XB7XF&tag=geizhalspre03-21&linkCode=df0&creative=22502&creativeASIN=B013WGRXZI&childASIN=B013WGRXZI http://www.mediamarkt.de/de/product/_hp-pavilion-15-ak032ng-2054665.html i am leaning towards the HP Envy eventhough it has less storage. maybe because it was the first one that i found and i could use the extra screen size. which one of these should i get or do you have any other suggestions?
