  1. @Stahlmann98Well I think in this case actually the LG might be my best bet. You have good experiences with it, right? it also is cheap enough to maybe squeze a RTX 3080 in, which would get my rig ready for 1440p 144hz for the next hours in fs2020. Thanks for your help!
  2. @Stahlmann98 really not sure, I was hoping to actually get some HDR, and decent colors. What do you guys think about this: Aorus CV27Q? looks to me like it ticks all the right boxes.
  3. @Stahlmann98 will do hmm, I am using the Samsung LC27F396F right now. It is curved a bit, and as I would be using it in combinantion with the new monitor, i am afraid having only the secondary monitor curved would be irritating. Also I like the curve, but I am not sure, if I would even notice the difference.
  4. But this one isn't curved at all, which kinda isn't what I want. Any curved options out there?
  5. Hello there, I am looking for a new monitor. I have seen the review of the Odyssey g7, and it checks all the right boxes for me: HDR Adaptive sync 1440p decent colors curve Now the problem I am having is, that some people suggest this monitor is pretty much unusable for any creative work, as its curve introduces distortion. I am by no means a professional, but I like to take good pictures, do some astrophotography, and edit the occasional video in resolve. Should I keep away from the g7 as it's curve is so noticable? Or is it fine for someone who just uses it for this purpose from time to time? Are there any less curved options out there with the features I mentioned above? Thanks for your answers!
  6. Well, I just built a computer in a 220t for my uncle, and the build was very quiet for my taste, considering the fans were SP120 and a LL120 But it also might be due to the better fan control, provided by a commander Pro. The question I am asking myself is: What does the case look like with RGB fans in the front...
  7. I was wondering how a Corsair Carbide Air 540 would look like with QL RGB Fans in the front... Anyone having done this? I am not certain wrather to get Noctua Nf-f12 in black, or some Corsair RGB fans. Right now my RGB ram is the only RGB component in my system And looking at the crystal 680x.. Looks pretty nice with all that tempered glass.
  8. I attached a screenshot of Ryzen master to this post. I should mention, that tha fans are pretty low when ideling. If I push them to 100% manually, I get about 35°C while Ideling.
  9. About 4 to 4.1 GHz under all core load
  10. Hey there, I just upgraded to a ryzen 5 3600x, and am a little worried about my temps. I am basically running the CPU stock, and getting idle temps of about 40°C and load temps in AIDA 64 of about 78°C. Are these temps expected, or did I mess up the thermal paste application? (used Arctic MX-4) My case is a Corsair Air 540, so ventilation is pretty good. Thank you for your answers :D
  11. Hello there, I am looking for a dedicated fan controller, as I am pretty fed up with the MB fan control. My Maximus V Formula has a BIOS Fan low limit of 60% and the software, which would allow the fans to spin slower, does not run on the latest version of win 10. So now, from what I've seen, the commander Pro looks a bit more flexible in terms of fancurves. Can anyone prove this? I would just like to be able to have all my fans be controled by the fan controller. Also I would like to be able to stop the fans if the system is not under load. From my point of view, the commander Pro looks a bit overkill, if I am just doing fan control, but if it is far better in terms of flexibility, it might be worth the price. Also the option fot some RGB is there... On the other side, the NZXT Grid is quite cheaper, so if it works well for fan control, it might be an option there. I also am quite interested, if the fans go to their profiles without the software running, or what they will do. Thank you for your answers...
  12. 3700x is 120€ more than 3600, and there is no x570 board with it
  13. Hello there, I have a deal I am not sure I should take. Gigabyte offers 60€ cashback if you get a X570 MB and a AMD Ryzen CPU. The lowest CPU included is the R5 3600x. My alternative setup is the MSI Tomahawk MAX and a 3600. The setup with the cashback is a Aorus Elite x570 from Gigabyte and the 3600x. Now is it worth to spend the extra 80€? Especially, how long will x570 be supported by new CPUs? personally, i think I like the Gigabyte board. Has some RGB, the fan stops, and it should overclock the 3600x quite nicely with my NH U12-S (Ltt Edition of course). And it has more USB ports, but at just 98€, The Tomahawk looks like incredible good value. What do you think? EDIT: the offer only lasts till the 27., so one alternative is to wait for black friday, to get a better deal on the b450 config.
  14. Hello there, I am asking myself if now is the right time tu upgrade my rig. My CPU (I5 3570k) is getting dated, and my MB is showing its age by having SATA ports not working anymore. Considering performance, I could still wait. The last big movie editing project is done (although it was pretty anoying, as timeline performance, even at 1080p was quite bad), and I don't have the next one on the horizont yet. If I upgrade now, I would have about 400€ to spend. My choice would be a ryzen 5 3600. The question is: should I upgrade now, or wait for the next gen of CPUs to arrive? I do a bit of gaming, mostly KSP, with some PUBG and CSGO. I think the games would benefit from the new CPU, but I can play them acceptable fashion on my rig right now, so there is no hassle. BTW, I have a GTX970 in my rig, and I game in 1080p 60hz. Thanks for your advice :)
  15. Most of this sounds comprehendable, but it is the price I am thinking about. The 970 is about 80 bugs cheaper than a considerable 1060. Is the 1060 worth 80 bugs more than a 970?
