Last night turned out to be fun. Cleaned out @Candren Lycosa's watercooling loop, and I overclocked his Intel Core i7-6700K to 4.7 GHz using 1.4V, and I also enabled the X.M.P profile on my first kit of RAM I bought for my system at the time. The board in question is the MSI Z170A GAMING PRO CARBON, although the VRM seems to me decent at best, and mediocre at worse, it did fine for the overclock. I would have preferred it to be the Asus ROG MAXIMUS VIII HERO at least, since there are some features on there that I find extremely useful, such as the excellent fan control (far better than the MSI borad), the better VRM, useful LLC settings, and the ErP settings (S4+S5), which effectively puts the system into an ultra-low power state when shut down.
