  1. Will be 4K. Currently 1080p but figured this upgrade will make 4K a bit more of a realisation
  2. Fair enough. Makes sense. I'm looking forward to getting it all together. Just kinda worried it wasn't gonna work. I don't expect massive performance boost beyond the 980's anyway but anything extra makes it worth it
  3. I thought Physx was quite a chunk of a GPU especially when running Ultra settings on Borderlands for example. Running Benchies it always seems to take up quite some GPU usage. All 3 are Reference Models. Gonna mod the Green Glow to Red though as my system is red. (I had an MSI theme going on)
  4. Cool thank you!I've ran SLI for years but never thought of doing this so never cemented the hardware. Just kinda took a chance on the cheap 970, engaged my wallet and then thought about it haha! I assume if it's running X4 the performance is really not gonna be much at all
  5. And any idea how it will run. I'd guess x8, x8, x16? I don't know?
  6. Really? You are right in saying I'm not SLI'ing I'm not daft I understand that you can't SLI different cards/clock speeds. It makes sense to me that it would work but I can't find anything online to confirm it as it appears very sparse people who do this kinda thing
  7. I figured as much. Any suggestions with a Black/Red theme. I'm thinking Gigabyte?
  8. I got it like dirt cheap from a friend I haven't bought it new. Figured I may as well
  9. Hi All Just wanted to float a quick question around. I have an MSI Z97 Gaming 7 and am going to be running 2 way 980 sli. I also have coming a gtx 970 that I will be using as a Physx card. (It was cheap so I'm using it regardless of the performance gain) My question is will this work as I know the Motherboard has 3 PCI-E slots and 2 way sli support or am I going to have to invest in another MoBo? Thanks
  10. Again, reasons for sticking to 2 way SLI is rendering. I understand games just don't really support 3 way SLI so althought I could, I won't for that reason. I'm definitely steering away from the Titans. I love them and one day would love to own one but I don't have a use for the full features they have so want to stick to High End Gaming Dedicated GPU's. Hmm i'm undecided now.
  11. I hate the idea of Titan's. They're not really "Gaming GPU's" so I always prefer 2 of the Highest Single Flagship GPU's. This is my 1st time looking at Physx cards and really am a Perfectionist and want the best I can get that looks amazing !
  12. Hi All I just wanted to see the opinion of the community on the following PC. Money is no object so please don't say it's a waste but I am going to be running 2 Reference GTX 980's ( https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-204-OK) And also a Reference GTX 970 ( https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-205-OK) as a dedicated Physx. Realistically, as they're both similar speed Maxwell chips in there, will the performance be large and future proof? (BTW yes I am gaming across 2 4K monitors so the power really is needed) Thanks
