  1. The mobo manual doesn't mention nothing about the beeps They are both powered. Now, I'll try to remove all the unnecessary components, and I'll see
  2. I already did that: all the cables where properly connected. Anyway: I noticed that a few minutes after I turn the PC on, the fans stop to spin and immediately restart again.
  3. The power is connected. I tried to remove the GPU, and the problem remains.
  4. Hi, I've just assembled my new PC, that has the following parts: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/s3k7qs When I turn it on, all the FANs turn on, but there's no video output, nor any sound from the speaker I connected to the motherboard. I tried to connect the HDMI cable to the motherboard and to the graphic card, and none of them works. Any suggestion?
  5. Sorry, I purchased some of the parts on Amazon, so the wishlist got partially deleted. I've fixed that.
  6. EDIT: I've added this CPU cooler: Cooler Master Hyper412S for €35
  7. Hi, thanks! 1) Starcraft 2 mostly, but I would love a setup that can play smoothly any game at 1920x1200 (I don't mind turning down a bit the grapich settings) 2) If necessary, but I would prefer not to 3) Not at all I guess I'm gonna find out Jokes aside, I haven't tested yet, but I'm quite sure that the monitor uses a standard mini display port. Italy is a magic place: new things on ebay cost more than on Amazon... And the availability is pretty much the same. Beside that, I simply love Amazon, and it's customer service (just the other week for work we ordered a wrong CPU cooler, and Amazon refounded us completely). Furthermore, I had quite a few cases of bad sellers on Ebay (€1000 RAMS packed in a cheap envelope for example).
  8. Hi, I'm building a budget PC. I would love to hear your opinions! Here's the current build: http://www.amazon.it/registry/wishlist/26IH8ZLAKOUXA. I live in Italy, so please keep in mind that not every piece of hardware is available. Some extra info: I already own an SSD. I'll use the computer for gaming and sometimes for work (that's why I choose a quite powerful CPU). I need a GPU with a mini display port, since I already have a monitor with that input (an Apple Cinema LED Display... don't judge me). What do you guys think? Thanks for your time!
  9. We think we'll go with 1 stick with 16GB, because I think that in a year or so, we'll add three of them, for a total of 64GB. Thanks a lot, that was really really helpful.
  10. We already have an external RAID solution. Sooner or later we'll change it, but right now we are stick with it
  11. Do you have any suggestion? 1. Lot of MySQL operations. In the current server, RAM is the bottleneck 2. Are you sure? So, if in the future I would like to add another CPU, I have to buy 2 brand CPUs that support MultiCPU. What's the propriety I have to look for when choosing a CPU taht supports MultiCPU? 3. So we can add another 3 stick of 16GB later Thanks to both of you for the feedback
  12. Hi, I've made this build for a server that we'll use in our startup. I would love to hear your opinions! Some info: I've chosen a MB with two sockets (and use only one of them) and 8 DIMM (and uso only one of them), so we can upgrade the server in the future. Right now we prefer a future proof solution than a more powerful one that hasn't got, for example, DDR4 ECC.
