The device is router only. The Ethernet cable on the wall connects to the wan port on the device. I can't access the router settings to find out how it works. The password is not the default one and the isp contract doesn't allow me to mess with any of their equipment at all. I was just very curious to understand how things work.

Hello, I recently moved to a new apartment and the internet connection was already setup by the owner. I noticed there is an Ethernet cable on the wall connected to the wan port of a router-only device. In my previous houses I have used the classic DSL cable and fiber optic cable. I will try connecting my laptop directly to the Ethernet cable on the wall to find out if it connects to the internet/gets a local ip (probably it won't). Maybe there is modem device inside the wall that connects to that Ethernet cable. Any clues?

The issue showed up again after 10 months. I no longer have the warranty and I am worried it doesn't come from the psu fan but the inner parts of it. Any clue what can I do? Lately my psu is really noisy even when performing simple tasks. I cleaned the filters in the case and checked if there is any dust in it. The other fans work perfectly without doing any noise. I also had issues with windows sleep mode. It goes to sleep and then immediately wakes up. What should I do? The warranty is still valid.
