Hello, I am in the process of helping a friend build a pc and I have an old gtx 660, so I was wondering that if he bought another 660, would the performance be better or worse at 1080p than the r9 280.

Hello everybody, I just got a brand new Sapphire Tri-x R9 290, Installed the drivers and now every time I try launching a game it gives me the little loading circle and does nothing, and when I tried launching Metro Last Light it said my Gpu needs to support 3.0 shaders at least, I have also seen that it says I need a direct x11 supported Gpu aswell. I have no idea what to do as this is my first experience with AMD, any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
