  1. It's about 10 ft from my couch. Rtings recommends a 71" for that distance. I think 65 will suffice but going to 55 will be too small.
  2. It's not 100% necessary but I do sit a decent ways away. (I measured but I don't recall and I'm not at home right now unfortunately)
  3. Mostly straight on, I live alone but when people come over occasionally it'll be off center. I do watch football. Otherwise it's mostly just TV and movies sometimes. I don't do a ton of gaming either I have some older consoles but I don't have a ps5 or series x. (ps4, switch, wii u, wii, gamecube, SNES classic if you were curious). Do not use it as a monitor at all. An OLED is probably not a great choice I wouldn't think since A I watch some sports and B it's going to be a bit out of my price range. btw my max budget is probably about a grand. I paid 750 for the LG on sale. (I live in the US). Thanks for the help.
  4. I recently bought a 70inch lg nano75 TV which I exchanged once, and honestly I'm not still not super happy with it. The dirty screen effect is pretty bad and so is the glare. I looked at a few reviews from rtings and it seems like the Hisense u6g might be a good option (and a bit cheaper, also 65 inch since they don't have a 70). Is this a good route to go? Is there better options? Thanks.
  5. I ordered these ones. If they don't work I can always return it with amazon. Thanks for the help everyone. Will try and remember to reply if they worked.
  6. It is a 120 mm fan (according to this document) I'll have to open it open and see about the pins. Perhaps I can find a teardown somewhere.
  7. I mean you are probably right, it's just I really don't want to waste money on it right now and create more e-waste. A fan most likely wont cost too much and will be a fairly straight forward project.
  8. My power supply fan is being really loud lately. It's quite old and out of warranty (close to 5 years old at this point). I was wondering if anyone could point me to the correct replacement fan for it. Power supply is EVGA 700 W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply (part number: 100-B1-0700-K1) Don't worry I have a friend who knows about electronics who will help me replace it, I will not electrocute myself.
  9. Looking for a microphone and headphone combo. Currently I have Philips SHP9500's with a V-Moda Boom Pro But the mic was always a bit crap and the headphones are starting to fall apart. What I'm looking for is a wireless solution. Active noise cancellation would be nice but not necessary but at least closed back headphones this time. I also want to be able to use these with my phone. I mostly use them with my gaming computer but for calls and stuff it's nice, so Bluetooth is a must. The Audio quality doesn't matter too much I mostly just talk to friends. Most of the headsets I have seen don't have amazing quality and they wouldn't be compatible with my phone. For the mic I was looking at the mod mic wireless but it's quite expensive and doesn't connect to your phone. Now I could do a desktop mic but it'll be hard to mount and not wireless and not compatible with my phone. The headphones need to be around ear can't do on ear or in ear at all just not comfortable for me. I'm not really sure there is a great solution here to be honest but if you can get close let me know. Thanks.
  10. I'm going to the local technical college for software development, and I just thought it would be nice to have a laptop. I already have a gaming machine at home, so it doesn't need to have a dedicated GPU. In fact I would prefer it didn't so I don't get distracted by games. I don't know what laptop to get though. Here are some things I would like: Good keyboard Decent battery Fits in my backpack SSD Decent CPU (APU maybe?) In that order. I could compromise on the CPU especially if it had an SSD. Thanks.
  11. lol it's on sale right now, guess i'll pick it up. Maybe even the digital deluxe.
  12. Yeah I can definitely wait, I'm quite busy right now so I will see next time their is a sale. I'm sure it will go on sale soon because by now most of the people willing to pay full price have already bought it. I'll have to keep an eye on it.
  13. I really like strategy games and I haven't played a Civ game before. I've been thinking about getting a Civ 6 for awhile now but I just don't know. The recent Steam reviews are mixed. What do you guys think?
  14. I've decided I want to get a mechanical keyboard(I currently have a membrane I bought at goodwill) but I can't decide which one! I've narrowed it down to the K70 and the Ducky Shine 5 But I just can't decide. What do you guys think.
