  1. I have some custom fan curves setup inside ASUS AI Suite, but I've gotten rather sick of that little pop-out window thing in the bottom-right corner of the screen. I don't think AIS gives the option to disable it, so I considered just closing it altogether so that it no longer runs in the background. One issue: I don't know if I can do this while retaining my custom curves. So, will they stay unchanged if I close AI Suite, or do I have to just continue dealing with the little window that I don't want?
  2. What I'm thinking now is that all of the programs I've been using have been trying to migrate the 1.5TB partition itself onto the 240GB SSD. I was hoping the software would be smart enough to just move the 195GB of data being used without freaking out, but I guess that's not how this works. I'm gonna try shrinking my Windows partition so that it'll fit onto the SSD.
  3. My motherboard just screamed at me about an unsecure boot or something when I tried to boot from the Clonezilla drive. I'm back in Windows now, but now I don't know what to do... I have an ASUS Z97-A, if it helps.
  4. I just got my first SSD(ADATA SP550 240GB), and none of the OS migration software I've tried works. The software ADATA includes, Acronis True Image 2015, hangs on "Processing, please wait..." for an infinite amount of time when I choose to exclude my HDD's data backup partition where I've placed all of my files that I don't want on the SSD. Keep in mind that my OS partition is only using 202GB of space. Then, when I tried a different software, EaseUS Todo Backup, it kept stopping on "Initializing clone...". What am I doing wrong here? Is my OS partition too big or something? Do I need to shrink it? Can I just make some USB-bootable Linux program and migrate my OS from there? I feel like this is so much more complicated than it should be.
  5. You know what? Appreciate you trying to help, but I honestly don't think this is even worth pursuing any further. With all of the research I've done, and even martward confirming it, I don't think there's anything more I can really do, short of just going out and getting an unlocked i7.
  6. Even with HWMonitor open, it was telling me some shit about 3.99GHz, but that didn't seem right.
  7. The stock frequency is 3.4GHz with a 3.57 boost(it's supposed to be 3.8). With the OC, I got a base speed of 3.57Ghz, but I wasn't able to figure out my boost speed.
  8. I have a Xeon 1231v3 on an ASUS Z97-A motherboard being cooled by a Hyper 212 EVO(I get temps of 60 degrees under load). I went into the BIOS, and set the base clock to 105, seeing if what I was about to attempt was feasible. After booting into Windows, I ran Cinebench, it verified that my CPU speed had gotten an increase, and I got a score that was 20 points higher than my non-OC'd run. Then, when I opened AIDA64 to run the stress test, I noticed something very concerning: my CPU temperatures had risen to a whopping 67 degrees. Now, I don't know a whole lot about overclocking, but those temps just don't seem reasonable for such a small performance boost. I booted back into the BIOS to try and see if the voltages has gotten raised automatically without me realizing, but everything was normal. Did I do something wrong? Literally the only 2 things I did were set the AI Tuner from Auto to Manual, then change the base clock from 100 to 105. I'm not going to go forward with this if I'm going to get significantly higher temperatures for underwhelming performance boosts.
  9. Literally everything is set to High except Texture Quality(don't have enough VRAM). MSAA is set to 4x, Reflection MSAA is set to 8x, Shader Quality is at High, Shadow Quality is at High, and Soft Shadows is set to NVIDIA PCSS.
  10. No matter which methods I try, neither FXAA, MSAA, or TXAA are doing their jobs. I've even gone as far as editing the GTA V NVIDIA profile using NVIDIA Inspector, but all it seemed to do was lower my overall game performance. I know there are already threads that have discussed this, but I can't seem to figure out if anyone has solved the issue. My system has a Xeon 1231v3, 16GB of RAM, and the best SLI setup ever: 2 GTX 950s. Before you say it, getting a 970 is not currently an option for me. I just really want to get this fixed because there are jagged lines freaking EVERYWHERE. What's worse? Shadows being cast by characters are blockier than Minecraft. No matter what I try, I can't fix it.

  13. The game launches in 10 hours(of me posting this), and I'm looking for experienced players who'll be playing on PC. I don't care if you're using a controller, or keyboard and mouse; you just need to have mastered Titanfall 1, and you can join me. You do need to have a microphone, by the way. If you do, join my Discord server: https://discord.gg/EDUvHFN. My Origin name is fireclaw316. I have the game pre-loaded, and can start it right at midnight(EST, of course).
  14. I mean, I guess. If you've mastered Call of Duty or Battlefield to any extent, you'll be fine to begin with.
  15. As of me posting this, Titans start falling in roughly 2 days and 8 hours, and I'm looking for people willing to join my team. We'll work as a team, and in the end, we'll be able to stand over the corpses of those who thought they could conquer us! Aaaaaanyway, you need to have a mic, as well as a Discord account. Also, please have at least played Titanfall 1. I will not stand for playing on the same team as someone who doesn't even know how to kill an enemy while wall-running. If you're interested, you can join my Discord server: https://discord.gg/EDUvHFN My Origin name: fireclaw316
  16. I play a lot of Frontier Defense, and I just want some people who have decent microphones, and are actually willing to work like a team. My Discord: https://discord.gg/EDUvHFN
  17. "...great firewall of the UK..." Yeah. 'Cause that always works 100,000,000% of the time. -posted from Tor Browser
  18. A mix of both. I'm obviously not worried about my cartridge-based games, but I'm going to be pretty depressed if things like Mii data were stored to the system, instead of the SD card.
  19. I already called them, and they can't help me since my brother technically modified the 3DS by opening it. Also, that thing about soldering is good to know.
  20. I know that. The problem is that my current 3DS doesn't turn on, so transferring data the intended way won't work. Like I said: I'm interested in unsoldering the internal storage chip, and soldering it to a working 3DS motherboard.
  21. So, I've had a 3DS on my hands for a while now that shuts off with a popping sound shortly after pressing the power button. Given that this problem is happening because my idiot brother tried to repair the circle pad himself, Nintendo is refusing to fix it, even if I paid for it(warranty expired a long time ago, anyway). So, I had a thought: could I just unsolder the internal storage of this 3DS, and put it in another? I just want my data back, and I'm ready to try anything. The reason I think this might not work is because my installation of 3DSOS(or whatever it's called) might detect that it's running on different hardware, in a similar fashion to how the OS prevents you from copying games from one system to another. Either that, or do any of you know any repair shops that I can ship this to? It's been 2 years, and I get sad every time I looks at the comatose-esque state my oldest console is in. The nostalgia is gradually eating away at my soul, and I'm scared that all of my neighbors in Animal Crossing have left. I know that cartridge games save data to themselves, I just want my 3DS the way it was before it broke.
  22. I don't care about Doom or Just Cause, but come on! You can pretty much say anything negative about Arkham Knight and nobody will be surprised. The PC port's existence is a mess just in general.
