  1. I'm already on it. All I needed from you guys was to know whether or not I could delete that old Windows install. I have other places to back my stuff up to.
  2. I actually need to completely reinitialize the drive, because when I first formatted it, I formatted it as MBR, so I can't use the whole 3TB capacity.
  3. Well, that's the plan for today. Though, I have 300GB worth of data that still needs to be backed up. I only got a 240GB SDD, and it only has 30GB left.
  4. When I say "force delete", it's just the Windows Disk Management prompt asking me to click "Yes" or "No". It says,"To force the deletion of this partition, click Yes."
  5. OK, so, I already did the migrating, and I've just had the old Windows install on my HDD just sitting there, hidden, in the event that I need it for an emergency or something. But, since it's been a month already, I think it'd be safe to delete it. The issue is that when I went to do so, Windows told me that the partition is in use, and that force-deleting it might cause "unexpected errors" in whatever application is using the partition. As far as I know, there isn't any applications using the partition. Like I said, it's hidden. I don't have a drive letter assigned to it. Is there something that could still be accessing it, or is this just Windows being stupid?
  6. I don't get why so many people keep saying that. I've had this power supply for several months now, and it's still working just fine. Hell, even Austin uses it in some of his builds!
  7. You know what? As good as it is to hear that, I just realized the listing doesn't have Best Offer enabled, and I'm not about to spend $180 on a 970 when I can get a STRIX for $160.
  8. I'm thinking about buying a used one(GV-N970WF3OC-4GD), but on Gigabyte's website, it says I need a 550w PSU. Here are my current specs for reference(minus my current GPU): Xeon 1231v3 ASUS Z97-A 16GB RAM 1x 240GB SSD 1x 3TB HDD 3x 90mm Fans 1x 120mm Fan 500w EVGA PSU w/ 80+ White Now, I can certainly plug this beast of a card in - it needs both a 6-pin AND an 8-pin - but I'm just worried about my power supply not being able to handle it even without overclocking.
  9. I'm just trying to replace my 950 SLI setup. I know I won't get a HUGE performance boost by getting a 970, but that 2GB VRAM limitation will no longer be a problem.
  10. So, I have about an hour to make a decision: either try and win an auction for an MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G card(it's at $130 right now), or just go and try for a GTX 1060 3GB model.
  11. I know that regular RAM has the paging file to rely on, so is it a similar thing for VRAM?
  12. I know how iGPUs work. On other laptops, even my old ASUS with a Celeron processor, I was able to go into the BIOS and increase the amount of allocated VRAM. The 4600U has a max of 2GB, but it seems that Dell limits it to 64MB, with no way to increase it.
  13. My model is the one with the 4600U, and I'd like to know if there's some way I can increase the already-allocated 64MB of VRAM. I've scoured through the BIOS, and I'm not seeing the option to do so. Is it just not an option to begin with?
  14. I already said that my PC's IP is static. In my router, I have the IP address 10.0.0.26 reserved for my computer's MAC address. Also, I'd like to point out that I put my computer to sleep again earlier, and was able to wake it up. Though, this doesn't mean much because last time I tried this, it'd work at first, but after, like, 15 or so minutes, it wouldn't wake up unless I hit a key on my keyboard.
  15. It's been enabled since my last attempt at this, but thanks anyway.
  16. I can't figure this out. I've done everything necessary to enable WoL: turn off Windows Fast Startup, enable Magic Packets, open port 9 for my PC's IP, and enable the "Power On by PCIe" option in my BIOS. What's weird about this is that I've gotten it to work, and it still "technically" does. So, I DID have this working perfectly fine at one point, where I'd be able to remote into my PC while I was out, and if my PC happened to have fallen asleep, I could just send the WoL command no problem. Then, one day, it just straight-up stopped working for God knows why. I tried fixing it, but just gave up and opted to have my computer never sleep, and just have my BIOS turn it on at 9:45 every morning. But, yesterday, I thought I'd give it another go. The only thing that's changed since my last attempt is that my PC is no longer connected directly to the router, but a network switch. I got everything setup the way they're supposed to be, and even downloaded a program that tells me if my computer is receiving packets on ports of my choosing(port 9, in this case). And guess what? The program is detecting my packets. I even tried putting my computer to sleep, and sending the WoL requests, and my computer woke up! Then, I went a step further, shutting my computer down, and I powered it back on remotely. So, you might be thinking,"I don't see the problem here. All looks well. Why is he still talking?" Here's the kicker: when I woke up this morning, I wanted to test it out again by powering my PC on for the day using my phone(it's what I've been sending the packets with). The verdict? Nothing. Nada. Zilch. So, despite the fact that my computer is STILL receiving the WoL packets(I checked with the program again), and despite this all working perfectly fine last night, it just refuses to work! In case it's not obvious, I am beyond stumped as to what I could have done wrong. I was thinking maybe my new network switch could have been the issue, but A. the WoL stopped working before I had the switch, and B. my router still sees my computer and all of my other connected devices under different IP addresses. I've also made my PC's IP static, so that's can't be the issue, and when I was testing it this morning, I even tried sending requests to the local IP itself, rather than my public IP via port 9. Does anybody have any suggestions?
  17. Yeah. AOMEI did the job just right. What I wasn't expecting, however, was that my SSD would automatically be changed to drive C when set as my boot drive. I thought I'd have to do that manually.
  18. I did end up using that. I shrunk my OS partition to 200GB with AOMEI, then used it to migrate the OS.
  19. Are you talking about the ones I mentioned? Because I did a bit more research in the last 8 minutes, and found these as well. Do you have personal experience with the BTH3?
  20. I'm currently looking at the Photive BTH3, but I want to know if any of you guys have any better suggestions.
  21. No, it wasn't sarcasm. I did know that I'd seen the option somewhere, but I just couldn't remember where, so I just assumed that it didn't exist.
