  1. You will be just fine then. And a dvi to vga adapter won't change your performance, as the only thing it does is to change the connector. dvi-d is dual link dvi, and is used for high resolution dispalys, as they require more bandwidth to be able to have such a large picture, at an high refresh rate (a 1080p monitor will require dvi-d to run at 120hz). dvi-i is analog dvi and uses the same signal as vga, so you can use an adaptor to change the connector to vga. The first dvi port on the graphics card is often the one you should use and it is often labelled on them.
  2. The chance of fucking up a bios flash, and still have the board work fine is pretty low (don't ask how I know ). But the bios shouldn't have an performance impact. Updating the bios might have changed some settings, that causes your game to stutter.
  3. As all the other posts, just use a dvi to vga adapter (the are usually included with graphics cards). AMD's latest R9 and R7 series of cards does however not support vga.
  4. Pretty sure AMD said that the 7000 series and up will support DX12.
  5. Also, Gigabyte shouldn't have changed the colour scheme on their gaming boards from green to red. It makes them look like almost every other gaming board out there (especially the one MSI have).
  6. It's not really the fans they complain about, it's the pump. My Seidon 240M vibrates so bad, that the top of my case vibrates and that is noisy as hell
  7. I like that Asus walked away from that ugly ass gold theme on their mainstream motherboards to a more black and and darker gold theme. Looks a lot better in my opinion.
  8. The Eisberg seems nice too with the high quality German pump, but I have no idea about the noise level. You could try find some reviews of it online.
  9. lol sorry, I didn't see that. A H77 board would be fine, but if you need more that 2 sata3 ports, you need one with a Marvell or Asmedia sata chip. Something like the Gigabyte H77M-D3H, the Asus P8H77-M LE or the Asrock Z77 Extreme 3.
  10. Quality comes at an price , but CM does also have the Glacer series, which uses the same Swiftech pump. Not sure about their Nepton series tho...
  11. I would say something like the Asus H87M-E. The Asus Vanguard B85 would properly also be a good choise for 24/7 operation. Just don't pick a H81 chipset, as it doesn't have the Intel storage technology and only have a single channel for ram.
  12. The website work fine with me, I could see all the pictures and text just fine.
  13. If you are on a budget, that you be a good way to go, but a G3220 consumes more power (not that it really matters in the us, but where I live we have some high electrical prices) and the consumer chipsets doesn't support ecc ram (which I would recommend for a larger home server).
  14. What about the ASRock C2750D4I? It looks like a real good board, but comes at a high price. Tek Syndicate did a review of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2ERph8v13s Edit: There is also the lower cost quad core version. These are also worth a look.
  15. I've usted it a lot of times before, so it's safe. It's basicly like Amazon, you buy the games (and software) from other smaller sites through Kinguin.
  16. I agree, that's the reason I still play BF3. There's just so many problems with BF4, that I just don't bother. But you can add me on Origin if you want (OriginID: Unlocker9001).
  17. I don't have BF4 (because of all the bugs, the bad netcode and the high price (if you want all the dlc's)) but I do still play BF3 and some other games when I have the time.
  18. The Asus Sabretooth line, they tend to work out great on military themed builds.
  19. I'll say a overclocked 8350 or a 9590 if you really wanna go extreme. But for a budget build, pick a 8350 and overclock it.
  20. He properly wanted it for a m-ATX build, and there aren't really any AM3+ m-ATX boards out there.
  21. There should be a "cpu voltage" (often called "vcore") setting in the bios, that you can change. I would just turn it two steps down, but you can also try to find the minimum stable voltage under load and go one step higher than that.
  22. Found this on the Newegg site "Supports CPU up to 125W". So it should be able to run it just fine, but overclocking it will properly make it burn Edit: The 8350 is also on the cpu support list on their website, so it will run it with all 8 cores.
  23. One of those Korean ips monitors, but with the 4k one that Samsung just released, I'll properly buy that one instead (I know a guy that works for Samsung ), but I need to have the money for it first
