OnePlus Nord N200 5G is new and pretty good for the price...

Buy OnePlus Nord N200 - OnePlus (United States)

Sadly, the cheapest available OnePlus in my country is the 8T and it's over 650 USD

Got a lower end Samsung phone for like 250 and honestly it would have lasted me longer than 3 years hand j not dropped the thing on the pavement and cracked the screen. Worked for awhile with the broken screen but after about 6 months it's display started having serious issues so I had to get a new phone.

    I'll check those out

Depends on what is the limiting factor in the phone for your case

Then you want OIS (optical image stabilisation) in the camera of your phone.

The S20 FE has it. It is almost never found in cheaper phones.

The thing that worries me about cheaper phones is how long those will get updates

I'm leaning towards the FE because of this and the cameras

    Thanks for the replies

  2. Hi, I'm currently looking for a new phone and was wondering if something cheap like a Pocophone X3 Pro that I could get for US$360 equivalent is a good choice for a phone that I could use for around 3 years. I currently have a Samsung Galaxy S8+ that is on death's door.

I'm willing to spend more on something like a Galaxy S20 FE that I can get for US$550 or a used Note 10+ or S20+ for around the same price.

The only thing I really care about in a phone is a quality feel in the hand, dual sim card and a nice camera. High refresh rate would be nice but not necessary since I haven't experienced it on a phone yet so I wouldn't feel like I'm loosing something

I'm open to suggestions under within this price range

    Thanks

  4. Hi, I recently switched my 32"4K monitor to portrait and I'm really enjoying using it like that most of the time, except from the obvious that is watching videos.

Is there a way to switch easily, so it just works like a tablet, with a keyboard shortcut maybe?

I'm using Display Fusion but I just know the basics for split screens and wallpapers

This is on Win10 Pro, Nvidia graphics

    Any advice is appreciated

  5. Hi, a few days ago I installed a Phanteks vertical GPU mount with the included cable.

Under heavy loads while gaming (some games) the pc turns off like the power just went off. It happened with Forntine and Warzone. I can play Valorant with no problem.

I stressed tested using Furmark and Prime 95 and the PC restarted (in under 10 mins) while using my usual mild overclocks, it shut down also while at stock speeds

    Any advice helps, Thanks

$500 is a pretty low budget, could do something like this, if they want a better GPU looking used would be a better option.

I had thought of using the 2600 but didn't know if it could be overkill

    Thanks

  7. Hi, I'm helping a friend build his new computer but I don't really know how to prioritize spending for Autocad

This will be a gaming rig first and he works with autocad.

I want this to be a Ryzen build with an Nvidia GPU.

Only main tower components included in the budget. No case needed

    ATX standard format

    Any input would be appreciated

    Thanks

Mostly 1440p 144hz gaming. May I ask what the extra performance would entail? That way I can have a better understanding if I would get use out of it.

Extra performance would mean faster read and writes for file transfers but that is mostly for content creators such as editors that need faster speeds. For gaming just get the cheapest one you can find, the difference will be a few seconds while loading maps or levels

Between the 500GB Samsung 970 and 970 Plus, would it be worth the $20 difference in price for the latter?

What are you using your PC for? I would just buy the cheapest m.2 I could find in the wanted size unless you really need the extra performance

  10. I recently upgraded to a Asus ROG B450F Gaming motherboard. I used to run a EVGA z97 Stinger and with that motherboard I could plug in my speakers and headphones at the same time in the back of the MB and switch between them with software. Is there a way I could do this with my motherboard? I dont want to use the front panel connector because Im using an amp for my headphones.

    Any help is appreciated

  11. Im planning a watercooling build on a Corsair Crystal 460X but the reservoir I currently own (XSPC Photon 270) is too big and it only fits if I install it horizontally on the top of the case. That works but it covers too much of the motherboard so I dont want to use it.

The easiest option I have is getting a new acrylic tube (10mm) to use on a D5 pump res combo I have (Bitspower) but that would mean having the res under the graphics card on the bottom of the case and I dont think that would look good.

Im wondering if there is a res I could buy that is small and looks good that I could install maybe in the fan grill (120mm only) at the back of the case or maybe in front of the graphics card on the ventilation grill

Any recommendation for good looking small reservoirs are welcome

    Hopefully under 80 dollars US

Check in BIOs Latest is 5204

Can't check it, I get no image in the screen and the BIOS version is not stated anywhere in the manual or the box

Did you check if the RAM sticks you bought are compatible with the board?

    Yes, they are

AMD will send you a CPU to update the bios with

    https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/pa-100

That would take too long, I can just take it to the store so they do it but it's a 2 hour drive. Trying to avoid that
