Hey, I'm building my first PC this christmas I know how to do everything with the hardware but installing windows 10 seems really tricky downloading many files I don't know what to do. I want to make a bootable USB drive and install windows that way - How do i do it? Big thanks to anyone willing to help
Hello, I'm building my first PC in a couple of months i would like to know if i can buy an SSD, connect it to my laptop via a USB 3.0 adapter and put windows OS onto it. Does this method work? and can i also put my games and some other programs onto an SSD this way? I know about installing windows using a boot-able USB drive but can i use this method with an SSD and transfer my games across at the same time? Thank you in advance.
Thank you guys. I'm going for a i5-4690K and i do want a mild over clock in the future when i get an aftermarket cpu cooler. Going by this forum I should go with a Z97 board. Anyone got any suggestions for a Z97 board? I would like it to be black and red but that doesn't really matter, just so long as it is cheap.
Hello, i'm struggling with the range of Intel chip sets for the LGA1150 socket. What do the codes (Z97, H97, B85 etc) mean? Do they affect performance? I know that effect features but what does each chip set have to offer on a LGA1150 socket.
I don't have a case yet, i would like the Fractal Design R5 windowed as shown in the build. I don't need a monitor yet either as i am planning on using a 1080p television that has HDMI ports. I would like to have a 4K monitor but not for a year or so.
I would like to stay around £750, i don't want any specific components, I have got the peripherals i need (mouse & keyboard). I haven't got any parts yet and i can get the operating system cheaper with a student discount at my college.
Thank you very much guys, i will go with this Intel build.
