  1. Hi Captain, I think that the My Cloud wasn't setup properly, but I think I can get it working if I reset it, and if I can get it working fine, the PC won't need huge storage so a small SSD for the OS would be good
  2. I understand that, and I knew that this would be suggested. However, part of the reason I am building it myself is for both the experience and the fun of it, and so I don't mind expanding the budget
  3. Just going to follow the recommended format: 1. Budget & Location I would like it to be as cheap as possible obviously. I am based in the UK, so all prices are in GBP. My budget is around £400, but can go above if need be. 2. Aim The PC won't be used for anything intense. It is for my parents to use in the kitchen as a home use PC, for general web browsing etc. It might also be used for the storage of family photos as our My Cloud NAS is failing slowly. I would prefer it to be a micro ATX or mini ITX build so that the case can be small and discreet. 3. Monitors A single 1080p monitor will be used. It doesn't need to be included in the budget. 4. Peripherals An OS, keyboard, mouse and monitor will need to be purchased, but don't need to be included in the £400 budget. In terms of KB and mouse, I was thinking something simple like this: http://www.viking-direct.co.uk/catalog/catalogSku.do?id=5433498&cm_mmc=Google-_-pla_gen_google-shopping_computing-and-communicating-_-computing-and-communicating-_-5433498&s2m_channel=544&_%24ja=tsid:34770|cid:242830937|agid:16600010417|tid:pla-91777342457|crid:55356657977|nw:g|rnd:3310303581916668519|dvc:c|adp:1o1&gclid=CjwKEAjwrIa9BRD5_dvqqazMrFESJACdv27GilGwCBFAFQSUZeGQD8m9Q-nAYh5CmRLzMZxJ8ztxVBoCg3_w_wcB Thanks in advance!
  4. Hello LTT community! Quick question, I was wondering if I would be able to easily push a 1440p 34 inch ultrawide such as the Dell U3415W. I mainly play CS:GO, Dota and Arma 3 and Star Citizen. I know I can run the first two fine, but the others I am hesitant about. I have an i7 6700k and 980 Ti. My standard FPS is around: Arma 3 single player: 60fps Arma 3 multiplayer: 20 - 40fps (Only 20 when in the main city during peak hours) Star citizen single player: 50 fps Star citizen multiplayer: 20 fps. Do you think that an ultrawide is worth it? Or should I just get a normal widescreen 1440p display such as the pg279q Thanks!
  5. Note: The v moda boom pro mic isn't compatible with them. The mic uses a 3.5 mm jack and the headphones take a smaller jack I believe. Also as said before, in the car you will be able to hear the other stuff going on in the car, and others might be able to hear your music depending on the volume
  6. I just bought one too. It can go straight into your PC using the adapter that comes with it, or through an interface using the quarter inch jack
  7. I'd reccommend dual. at 25 inch, I don't think it is worth it, but that's my personal opinion
  8. What would you suggest for headphones? Heres a random video of the mic It picks up me solving a rubiks cube from about 30 cms away. Would that be too sensitive you think?
  9. My mic has a cardoid pickup pattern, and is setup so that it is half infront of me, and half next to my ear cup. I can probably move it though. I'd like to try open headphones, but dont want it to mess up my mic haha.
  10. Hello! Quick question - how much does sound leakage affect mics with open back headphones? I was planning on getting a pair of either HD 598s or 558s and was wondering if the leakeage would be picked up by my desk mic (Behringer c1). A streamer I watch (https://www.twitch.tv/thevagabonds) seems to have no issues with his mic picking it up, so I was just wondering. Thanks!
