  1. Yeah i gotta check my cables. Would the motherboard/gpu damage be as a result of the PSU failure, and is that covered by warranty?

  4. So on sunday my Cooler Master Silent Pro 550W Power Supply died. I turned my PC on, some smoke came out of the PSU basement in my case and after that, when i turned on my PC the fans did start spinning but no signal to monitor and my peripherals didn't light up. I took the old one out and thoroughly dusted my entire PC. Once i got a new power supply (Seasonic g 550 80Plus gold 550W) I have a strange issue with turning on my PC. When i press the power button, fans start spinning but no signal to monitor. Then i press the power button again and my PC turns off. I Press it again right after that and it boots like normal. This has happened for the last three days. I turn my PC off when i go to bed, and once i turn it off, well, it works exactly as i described. What causes this? How can i fix it? Any help is appreciated, thanks!
  5. So i just came across the KFA2 GTX 1080 Hall of Fame. Now, I've been planning on upgrading to the gtx 1080 quite soon but have had trouble deciding on which model. I tried to find and all white one but didn't have much luck, until now. My question is, has anybody used this card, is it any good? Are the temps good and also is it factory OCed? KFA2 is kind of a weird brand that I haven't heard much about... Anyway, any info is appreciated, thanks!
  6. If you can afford it then yeah, keep the preorder. I'm personally somewhat worried that its hype might start dying down pretty quickly and soon there won't be many games coming out for it to keep it relevant. But if you like the hybrid concept and are into the exclusives then yeah keep it
  7. I'm planning on possibly upgrading the fittings and tubing in my liquid cooling loop. What fittings should i get? I Currently have Phobya fittings, which I've been told are kinda low end. I want to change the color of my loop and i think I'm going for colored tubes rather than the coolant itself. Since I'm changing the tubes, I Might as well get new fittings, so, which ones should i get? For tubing I'm planning on white soft tubing.
  8. Thanks, good to know. What are some good fittings? I guess i could change those if i upgrade the tubing anyway
  9. I bought this system second hand as my first PC in June. It's got custom liquid cooling on the CPU and the dude i bought it from said that i need to change the coolant every 6 months to a year, he suggested me to change it around christmas. I'm completely new to liquid cooling stuff. Well, christmas was a month ago and i still haven't changed the coolant, the reason being I'm simply quite scared of doing so and have no idea how to do it. I have a whole 1l bottle of EK Blood Red coolant that he gave me along with about 50cm of extra tubing, so i won't be needing to get new coolant at least. I'm looking for instructions on how to change the coolant, basically. Do i need to clean the loop also, and what does that require? My other question is about the components in my loop. I'm probably upgrading to pascal quite soon, and then later to Kaby Lake/Ryzen. The Motherboard/CPU upgrade probably won't be until summer, and I'm thinking I might do a new loop as well. I'm primarly thinking about changing the tubing. Should i also get new fittings, radiator, etc. while i'm at it? All the parts in my current loop were bought summer 2015 so they're a little old. My third question is about a tube in my loop that has been that way ever since i bought this PC. I've included pics as an attatchment. The tubing, as you can see is kind of flat at the curve. Is it something urgent that needs to be changed? It looks kind of wrong
  10. How do i change my username

  11. So, i have been thinking of buying a new computer lately. All my life i have used a Mac computer, and i've kind of grown sick of not being to play any proper, new games. I've been thinking both of a laptop for school (although that won't be relevant until fall next year, since that's when i'll really need one) and now recently, a more powerful desktop PC. For 800 euros i could get this(used) water-cooled desktop PC. processor: Intel Haswell Core i5 4690K @ 3,4 GHz motherboard: Asus Z87-C memory: Team Group 8Gb DDR3 storage: Kingston 128 Gb ssd, Western Digital 1Tb Caviar Blue case: Phanteks Enthoo Luxe (white) GPU: Gigabyte Windforce GTX 970 Power Supply: Cooler Master 550w Silent Pro Gold Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit OEM Cooling: CPU-block: EK Waterblocks Supremacy EVO Plexi + Nickel cooler: Alphacool NexXxoS UT60 Full Copper 360mm (white) pump: EK-XRES 140 DDC fans: 3xNoctua 120mm, 2x Corsair SP120 red led Quiet Edition, 1x Corsair SP140 Quiet Edition liquid: EK blood red I would also like to ask if any of you have swapped from mac to pc, how was it like and what do i need to know to prepare? Are viruses really such a constant struggle if i only really visit websites like youtube, twitter, reddit, steam, etc? Thanks in advance.
  12. How about this one, the MSI 7850-004R Mate Socket, A z97 Motherboard. (Use google chrome for the link to translate the text, it's on amazon.de) Also, thanks a lot since this helped me in several ways! Not only does it cost less allowing me to get the kraken x61 from amazon.co.uk (which did have it) or a pc component store right here in Finland, so this really solved a lot of my problems! http://www.amazon.de/MSI-7850-004R-Mate-Socket-Z97/dp/B00K8KLW3G/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1427605010&sr=8-1&keywords=Z97+PC+MATE
  13. Yeah, i probably will go for 8gb of RAM and watercooled processor. The Kraken x61 is quite expensive, and the place i'm getting all my components from, amazon.de you could only order one second hand. Now that you mentioned leaking however... I'm a little nervous because a leak in my build is the last thing i want to happen to my build. So now i'm wondering, do you know what leakage can cause? I don't know that much about water cooling myself. As for the motherboard, i'll probably go for the AsRock Z97 Extreme4, just because i like its color scheme more. (Here's the link to it: http://www.amazon.de/ASRock-Z97-EXTREME4-Mainboard-Sockel/dp/B00K6JKTDI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1427524429&sr=8-1&keywords=asrock+z97+extreme4 )
  14. Thanks everyone for the tips! I will take all of them to consideration. I'll reply individually when i can
