  1. Cheapest i can find gigabyte G1 for is 375$, think 35$ more is worth it over a evga ftw? evga comes with witcher 3/ batman and g1 doesn't PS: California sales tax sucks
  2. Hello i'm currently looking at a 3 different cards right now and would like some advice to which you think is the best. (340$) Evga 970 FTW 04G-P4-2978-KR (338$) Asus 970 Strix STRIX-GTX970-DC2OC (325$) Gigabyte 970 Windforce GV-N970WF3OC-4GD FTW is the fastest in terms of stock clock, but i'm hesitant since its not the +PLUS version which has a much better pcb/cooler design. FTW+ version is 400$+ for me since tales tax and don't want to spend that much.
  3. my top pci-e is the only slot being used, and my bios/ gpu-z is reading my card at pci-e 3.0 x16@ x4 3.0 even when using the render option, i tried my gpu in a pci-e 2.0 motherboard and it ran at pci-e 2.0 x16@ x16
  4. I'm currently running a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814162120 which obviously supports pci-e 3.0 at x16 speed. The problem i'm having is its stuck running at pci-e 3.0 x4 on my top pcie slot, I'm running a p8z77-v pro motherboard and a 3570k ivy bridge every pci-e slot is open. The odd thing is that it runs full speed at x8 in the second slot, now thinking it was my motherboard i RMA'd it and received a different board from asus and its doing the same thing as my old board, (x4 top slot----x8 second slot) and i can't seem to figure out why. The only bios options i have is to set the generation of PCI-e and there is nothing to control the the actual speed. I'v tried running default bios settings, reflashed my bios and changed my link state power management to off and still the same result of x4.
  5. well i might aswell use my old video card since it still works perfect and i usually play games on my main monitor and watch movies/streams on the other
  6. Firstly, My Primary monitor is a ml228 (1920x1080) using a hdmi cord, My secondary is a vs197(1366x768) using a vga cord into a dvi adapter Since i recently upgraded my graphics card from a Sapphire Radeon 6870 to a gtx 660ti i was wondering if i could install both into my computer running the primary on 660ti and secondary off the 6870. My question is it even possible to configure it in this manner and would it work without any issues.
