  1. I think they mean it doesn't come with PSU - some cases come bundled with a PSU as a deal. And the "frontal door" bit means that there is a hinge at the front of the case which acts as a door to enable access to the 5.25 inch drive bays.
  2. If you click on where it says "fractal design R4" - it should be in blue hyperlink. If you click that, it should take you to Scan. If that doesn't work - here is the full link: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/fractal-design-define-r4-black-pearl-mid-tower-ultra-low-noise-performancecase-usb-30-140mm-fans
  3. I am huge fan of the Fractal Design R4, it has removable HDD bays which will give you more than enough room for a 7970. It also has great cable management aswell as useful features such as a fan controller and USB3 (even if you won't use it; it's useful to have). It comes in at a very handy price of £80 which is a steal in my opinion. Coolermaster do a variety of good cases aswell, although they are normally priced a little higher.
  4. What's your budget? Any features you want like USB3?
  5. I think it depends on what 7970 you buy. It may fit, albeit very, very tight. If you want to remove the drive bays, you just need to remove the rivets holding them in place. All you need to do is drill them out - This guide could come in useful..
  6. It's coilwhine. Something which is basically impossible to alleviate and pretty common, you could contact XFX for an RMA request; however, i'm doubtful as to whether you have a case with just coilwhine or not. It'd be worth a primary email their way mind you..
  7. Your primary drive is the drive which has Windows installed on it i believe. Unless you want to have Windows running off of your HDD, then your SSD will continue to be the primary drive.
  8. Ah, no - you wouldn't want to RAID an SSD and an HDD together as the performance will be significantly reduced, among other things. It would be alot better to just keep the HDD separate from the SSD. And to make it default location - you can do it through your browser settings. Enter your settings, then to your 'download' tab and there should be an option called "Default download location" which you can change to your HDD if you wish.
  9. Well, the easiest way would be to just reinstall the program (download the installer / program) and place the downloaded file in a dedicated folder on your HDD called "Installs" or something. From there, open the installer and it will ask you where you want to install it. Default will be C/ which is your boot drive and SSD. You will want to browse to your HDD - whatever letter it is assinged D:/ or something. And then choose the install location within there. So, for example, D:/>Program files > Mozilla > Mozilla Firefox browser.exe.
  10. Always good to see awesome customer relations from a big company such as NewEgg. What was the promotion?
  11. Not enough power, or not the same GPU.
  12. I would definitely wait for Haswell if you're currently using Phenom. General price range, let's assume around $250 for the 3570K replacement. But these prices will obviously fall in subsequent months.
  13. My bad - didn't see that. For $10 more, you could get this . This Silverstone model is also very good. There are many others; however, finally, this Rosewill unit is great and is very cheap compared to the others.
  14. You don't even need to connect anything to it. Your PSU should have a fan in it which increases cooling over the unit. In most cases, this fan will spin up when the power supply is initially started; therefore, all you have to do is jump 2 pins in the 24 pin connector to start it. Grab a paper clip and bend to a 'U' shape. Put one end of the 'U' in a black wire and the other in a green wire. Connect the plug to the wall and switch on. If the fan spins you can assume the PSU is working.
  15. If it doesn't feel like it's going to come off - don't force it. Perhaps try pushing the connector in a little, then trying again. As above, using a small screwdriver try to nudge the clip away from the connector and pull off.
  16. Buy a dial-up connection? :X Joking aside, i get your point. What case fans are you running currently? Could you maybe just stick them on molex so they're running 100% all the time?
