  1. Hi guys again. I would like to thank you all for your replies. I did it. I uninstalled all application that has acer in it and some suspicious software (e.g. games) that is on it. and I also updated the laptop at least twice until it say your updated. Thank you all the culprit is that it was low in memory and resorts to paging. Thank you for giving me that idea and the one that the memory is shared with the graphic. Any way I suggested to my sister that she needs to buy more RAM and preferably an SSD to for more performance. Thanks again
  2. Now that this and some others mention it, I remember the paging thing windows does if it runs out of memory. Thanks for this maybe this is one of the problem
  3. In our country it's quite that money but may be to other its cheap. it's around $495 if I convert it. It has AMD ryzen 3 2200 and 4gb of ram 1tb of hdd
  4. Ahh okay now I get it. Well it is an issue at it's slow on opening and reading files unacceptable for a newly bought laptop. And we experienced that when we opened a folder all its doing is a green loading bar at the url portion of the explorer and not permitting us to access the files inside. Fortunately the files inside is not corrupted. That is the first time experiencing that kind of a problem
  5. I'm not sure about "Hard drives usually are pegged at 100% on notebooks" part but this is a newly bought laptop with nothing installed on it only the crap the manufacturer installed. Our old laptop bought about 2 years ago didn't have this problem it's an asus one.
  6. Okay I will try this with no restriction thanks. will reply back after I'm done. Maybe tomorrow as it's evening at my country.
  7. I'm thinking it too should I uninstall all like everything except the browsers that I installed? I will also try this thank you.
  8. Hi! Has anyone of you experienced this kind of problem? My sister bought this new laptop from the mall, Acer brand, and upon booting it up I opened task manager and the disk usage is freaking to the roof, maxing out at 100%. I thought that this is just at first but it still persist. I uninstalled some bloatware and it is still maxing out. I reset the laptop and still doesn't work. I first experienced this kind of problem with the newly bought laptop at our office but different brand, Asus laptop. My first thought is that the hard disk is failing. I haven't tried re installing a different Windows OS that is free from bloatware as it is still under warranty. We can get it back to the store but it will take a while for them to fix it and the laptop is needed for schooling of my sister as she is taking up graduate studies and waiting for it to be repaired is a bit of a hassle. Can anyone suggest to me what can I do for this one?
  9. Yeah I think so too. But some bought it I really just can't confirm how authentic it is.
  10. Hi Guys, Can I have your opinion about this product I saw on ebay. I really can't accept the fact that it's super dirt cheap for this monitor. Here is the link of the product. There are 2 seller of the same product (US) https://www.ebay.ph/itm/New-HP-25es-25-IPS-LED-Full-HD-Monitor-1920-x-1080-7ms-VGA-2-x-HDMI/332694471897?hash=item4d7622c4d9:g:--EAAOSwWV9bLFk3 (AU) https://www.ebay.ph/itm/New-HP-25es-25-IPS-LED-Full-HD-Monitor-1920-x-1080-7ms-VGA-2-x-HDMI/232814026245?hash=item3634cc1e05:g:T4cAAOSwrptbK2lv I want the US one cause it's cheap
  11. Thanks I would like to ask the retailer but I think it will cost me some if I let them do it which is a pain cause my budget is so tight. If I could I'd like to do it myself
  12. If I go down with AMD and buy the R5 2400g and pair it up with a B350 board do I need to update the BIOS? Maybe some board is already upgraded but in case that I need to update do I need a 1st gen ryzen to do the upgrade?
  13. AMD Build CPU: Ryzen 5 2400G RAM: G.Skill Trident Z (Non-RGB) 3200Mhz 8gb (2x4gb) Mobo: MSI Mortar B350m SSD: Samsung 960 Evo M.2 NVME Intel Build CPU: Intel Core i5 8400 RAM: Crucial Ballistix 2666Mhz 8gb (1x8gb) Mobo: MSI Bazooka B360m SSD: Samsung 960 Hi guys, I think this is my first time posting here, I would like to have your opinion regarding these 2 build. As you can see above I have both build for AMD and Intel but I can't think of which of the 2 should I get. First, the premise on why I need a new system is that I truly need an upgrade as my system is 5 year behind (generation wise) and 3 years old (physically) I can't do much heavy work on my current system. I am planning to toy around my system by doing these stuff virtual laboratory for testing purposes, at least four concurrent VMs active (server and client things) some android programming, some testing and self study game development, again just for the fun of it a light 3D or 2D stuff. and of course gaming My worry is: 1. If I run many VMs the Intel has few cores and threads compared to AMD 2. I will be using the iGPU for a while as the GPU prices are incredibly mind blowingly high 3. The upgrade path Speaking of the upgrade path my plan is to buy a GTX 1060 6gb or 1050 ti. In these case the Intel build is much cheaper than the AMD build. In the AMD build my upgrade path is: 1. Sell the CPU and upgrade to Ryzen 5 1600 (for more cores and threads) In the Intel build: 1. Sell the CPU and upgrade to Core i7 8700 2. Upgrade the CPU cooler 3. Add another RAM for Dual channel configuration My questions are: 1. If I go with the Intel build, in upgrading the RAM, should I buy another stick of the same brand for dual channel or should I sell it and buy dual channel kit? Which is better? 2. Choosing between those build should I pick the cheaper upfront cost of the Intel build but more upgrades down the line or should I pick AMD with a little more cost but fewer upgrade cost? 3. Is the B360 boards for non oc chips of Intel good? Will it turbo boost my Intel Core i5 8400? If you can advise me on what to do and share your knowledge to me to make this decision it will be much appreciated. Thanks

    Vim users

Any vim users here? I really need some advice. I'm currently studying to use vim, specially in windows, and I just want to ask some advice on what plugins to use. last night I installed pathogen and painstakingly search for the problem that I encountered and solve it now I want to know what to do to make it a little bit good looking to my eyes. Color scheme and useful plugins, like nerd tree I just heard it last night I didn't installed it yet. And I want to use vim for basic web development specially HTML, CSS, Javascript, and Python. What can I do to vim so that it will do some syntax completion on those languages?
