  1. So I finished my first build. It went pretty smooth with couple mistakes, but everything seems to be working. I am a bit worried about CPU and cooler thing. When I applied thermal paste for first time, after mounting cooler I could see that thermal paste was pushing a bit out on the sides, so I decided to take cooler off and wipe entire thermal paste away with paper towel as best as I could cause I don't have any suitable cleaning stuff for that. Paste was pretty fresh so I managed to clean it off pretty well, at least I think so. BUT there were some spots/marks left of wiping it away on the sides of CPU. So my question here would be, will this be a problem? I went ahead and tried Prime94 stress test with default settings and after hour and half my temps were between 50-60 (Ryzen 3700x). And my second question would be, how to better manage cables. My main problem are 24pin as its bulky and hard to bend so I had to take a "bigger turn" to connect it and cable for GPU that also has another connector for another PCIe and it's just there in the way as it's not connected to anything. Are sleeved cables solution for that?
  2. I know that it's just a rumors at this point about Amper etc. but I am thinking about replacing my laptop as it's pretty outdated. I am using 960M, i7-4720HQ and 8GB or RAM. Now as laptops are a lot more pricier then desktops and even then they are not that powerful I am wondering if it's worth to wait for new GPUs or not. I don't know what time between regular and mobile versions is or when laptops come out with new generation. With games like COD, Cyberpunk, RDR2 etc. coming out is kind of a bummer to wait 1year (probably more), but on other hand it's risky to spend 1500-2000€ on a laptop that might get 'left behind' after Ampere. Atm. I would go for i79750H, RTX2060, 16GB and laptop is on discounted for 400€. As I said I know there are just rumors etc. but what would be your opinion or advice ?
  3. Yeah, I am aware of that. I am looking at Lenovo Y740 and Acer Helios 300. They both have good enough cooling so that shouldn't be a problem.
  4. Well one laptop is Lenovo Legion Y740 and other is Acer Helios 300 where difference is only CPU (RTX 2060, 16GB RAM, same panel, ssd etc.). I know cooling between laptops are different and can help with performance. Helios apparently is great at cooling but Lenovo is 200€ cheaper, being 1500€ and that's already at my max. limit that I am willing to spend. That's why I am asking about CPU difference
  5. Now I know there are a lot of benchmarks out there, showing about 5% in favor of 9750h. What I want to know how that translates to games? My second question would be if having an external monitor to laptop affects CPU heavily? I am thinking about getting external monitor as primary when I am at home and using laptop as a second one or as primary when I am moving.
  6. Budget is 100€, can be a bit more if it's worth it. Country is Slovenia but we have a bit bigger prices compared to Germany for example, you can count Europe and I don't have problem with ordering form USA
  7. Before laptops I always used chiclet keyboards and now I am using laptops keyboards for almost 10years. I decided to change my setup and that requires dedicated keyboard. Now I did some research, had a look and I now what I am looking for: Requirements red switches or even silent reds switches, not necessary Cherry, as I want keyboard to be more silent as I am used to more silent sound from laptop ones and those clicky noises from for example blue switches are really annoying to me TKL Detachable cable Last thing there need to be a back light, no need for RGB (tho it would be nice) it can only be one color but I want letters AND sings to be backlit. A nice edition would be also low profile keyboard but that's not necessary Now I went through some of keyboards and I have eyes on few of them: Fnatic miniStreak, Logitech G Pro and Ducky One 2 TKL, this three are in my top three but Ducky 2 is a bit pricey for me Razer BlackWidow Lite Cougar PURI TKL HyperX Alloy FPS Pro Tenkeyless CORSAIR K63 I also had a look at GMMK which is not a bad option and I am seriously considering this option, but with shipping and taxes it get pricey. So perhaps any input on others could make my decision easier. Now my budget would be about 100€ +/-, I know that for example Logitech G Pro is more then that but I found it for lower price then it usually is. I am looking for some guidance as I am not that experienced with MK and will appreciate any advice
  8. My old roccat kone+ didn't do that and its a bit annoying now. What do you guys think, should I talk to Logitech and request new one ?
  9. So I got brand new G502 and when I move my buttons down from left and right button I get loud noise from under the buttons. With that I mean that I dont click buttons, just move my fingers from buttons. Video demonstration: <removed by staff> I don't know if this is how it shoud be or my mouse came "broken".
  10. @Samfisher About scroll i mean when is not in superscroll, some poeple say that it doesnt track good and its clicks are noisy. Branded cabel:
  11. Thanks for reply. I cant get M45 in my country. About G500 - i dont rly like the designe, ergonomic. Anyone with any of them from my "list" please give feedback
  12. My Roccat kone+ died and i'm looking for new one. Atm. i'm looking at: - Logitech G502, but i had read a lot of bad comments about scroll wheel, is it really that bad ? - Logitech G402, tho i prefer branded cabel and it doesn't have wheel left/right click compare to G502 - Corsair M65 or Corsair Sabre, heard good opinions about them and Sabre is pretty cheaper comapre to G502 I would prefer that mouse has branded cabel, more then 2 additional button and its not roccat (bad experience with kone+).
  13. Will Thermaltake Level 10 GTS fit Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770 4GB WindForce 3X OC ? Case can take 315mm long graphic card, but I dont know if whit HD "cages" in or out. And could I SLI 2 crads in here ? Tnx for reply.
