  1. Hello everyone, I just ordered a bunch of blocks and stuff for a full custom loop to cool a 3970x and 2x3090. All of the blocks and the reservoir will have RGB and I am not really sure how to link them all up to be controlled individually. Do they all daisy chain together and the motherboard detects it? I'm using an Asus Zenith Current setup below just looks constrained and hot. Thanks in advance!
  2. @Moonzy @BlueScope819 Thanks again both of you! This was super helpful
  3. @BlueScope819 Hey thanks for the insight. Yea this was probably a bad idea then. Gonna be a big headache... Glad I asked! Just gonna build a bunch of individual ones then. Thanks!
  4. Hey Moonzy, thanks for the advice! Brazil is a nightmare with import taxes, and I don't think it will be cheaper to buy motherboards, PSU, RAM, GPUS and CPUs for every computer. In terms of management, so it's not a one time setup and users just login? Or is it much more complicated than that?
  5. Hi everyone, I'm currently living in Brazil and am planning on building a few multi-user PCs to donate. Very similar to the one Linus built so 8 users can use a PC at once, but not as extreme as that build. I just know how important it was for computers to be introduced into my life, mainly through school, and I think that kids who aren't exposed to computers now will be extremely left behind in the next 5-10 years. I'm pretty experienced with building PCs but have no experience in building multi-user PCs. What is the easiest way possible to do this both in terms of software and hardware? Also if anyone else has a similar build I'd love to see it! -Alex
  6. Hi everyone, I just got a Threadripper 3970x and Zenith 2 extreme and am looking to buy the best possible AIO. This is for work so I don't care about price, just performance. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!
  7. I recently replaced my 3930k rig with a 7980xe build. Also replaced the triple HD monitors with triple 4K. They all work together over the local network to render 3d stuff. Added a few pics of the gradual 5-year process of me building these so you don't assume I bought this all at once. Specs for the new build: -7980xe @ 4.2ghz -128 gb Corsair Vengeance 3000mhz -1tb and 2tb Samsung m.2 -4tb samgung ssd -Rampage Extreme vi -2 x 1080ti Asus Strix -EVGA 1600w Supernova T2 Titanium -Cosmos C700p case Full break down of the 3 pcs here: -7980xe build: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/P8xG3C -Bumblebee Wall PC: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/48r6Mp Bumblebee Build log (like 200 pics): https://imgur.com/gallery/Euknr -Megatron: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/YDd6Mp I use these machines for my 3d work http://alexmarks3d.com/
  8. I am currently using a 7980xe (overclocked to 4.2Ghz) workstation for rendering and was wondering if a maximum of 85 degrees is acceptable. Thanks in advance for the insight.
  9. But will there issues with scaling? Or is that kind of stuff all sorted out?
  10. Hi, I currently have a 3 monitor setup in 1080. I would like to upgrade to 4k but that is a pretty expensive move to do all at once. Can i upgrade just one to 4k? It is mainly for work and do not game on the 3 monitors at once. Have 2 x 1080ti and use windows 7. Thanks a lot! -Alex
  11. Thanks Cadence! You always give me helpful responses on here :-) I am having some trouble understanding the limitations. For my new rig (with 3 monitors) I got a 1080ti, and have an old 980. I do 3d work so the cuda cores are very helpful. My second question then is does it matter which gpu gets plugged into the monitors? If the 1080ti does the heavy lifting, would I need to have the 980 hooked up to the monitors? Thanks in advance
  12. What a reliief! Thanks! So you are using two different gpus and are using running windows 7?
  13. Is it possible to have a 1080ti and 980 in one pc in WINDOWS 7? Not in SLI, just to be utilized in my 3d program. I know it is possible but am I limited to only windows 10 because of direct x 12? Thanks!
  14. This is actually what I'm gonna do too! Hope it works alright
  15. Best 140mm Rad fans regardless of price? Will be mounting them in push/pull on a H115i to cool 7980xe. Thanks!
  16. Thanks for the reply. I'm running a 7980xe at 4.2GHZ. Is having the LL140 going to make a big difference compared to like a Noctua Industrial?
  17. Will the Corsair LL140 RGB fans be okay for the h115i radiator?
  18. Thanks for the reply. I don't plan to OC the memory though. Is there still a big difference at stock?
  19. Hi, is there a big difference between these? The difference in timings... is that very noticeable in 3d rendering applications? CORSAIR Vengeance RGB 64GB (4 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Timing 16-18-18-36 CAS Latency 16 Voltage 1.35V https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820236220 AND G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 64GB (4 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Timing 14-14-14-34 CAS Latency 14 Voltage 1.35V https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=20-232-563 Thanks!
  20. Ah ok cool... that is a relief then. I heard that running two softwares can cause problems. Thanks man!
